So, I've managed to crawl my way up to viscount running data, passengers and cargo back and forth between HIP 10716 and; Wu Guinagi but due to the current civil war it's not so good now, I'm getting like 2% for a full round trip between both systems, it's agonizing. At this point I have enough credits to buy and outfit an all A class Cutter, it's just actually getting to the proper rank that's killing me. Could I get some advice on this? maybe a good system with lots of imperial donation missions? I've checked most of the places I used to use like shu babassi but those are dried up as well.
Advice on the best Imperial rank grind right now?

Shu Babassi is dead? That's a shame. I figured I'd grind my way up to a courier or clipper on my Colonia based account during my next shopping trip to the bubble.
I just discovered stacking planetary scan missions in Fehu; they all point to the same planet and only one scan is required to complete all 20.
Each set of 20 missions gives me approx 13-14% of Viscount. Feels far quicker than running data delivery missions also the odd few donation missions pop up there. I can't find anywhere to reliably give donation missions (spent 24 hours in all kinds of systems looking) so this is the next best thing I think.

I'm sticking with planet scan jobs, I've only been ranking in a very lazy fashion for 2 days (what with real life getting in the way) and from no rank I'm now 90% Viscount and I must have done no more than 20-30 data delivery missions, the rest has been donations and planet scan jobs
Just to clarify: Was the Imperial faction in economic bust? It's not just a case of if the system is in economic bust.
No idea I just sort of stumbled onto it, making the most of it as we speak. it's taken me 2 hours to clear Viscount, if even that.
Edit: I will say the mission board is a chore, the missions don't come quickly but they are defo worth it because they all clear at once which is great as long as you don't mind your mission message thing being spammed with about 40-60 messages per run :S.
The last batch was 17 missions which took me the last 10% of viscount into and into count.

what station(s) do you get the missions from? I just arrived in system and am heading to Frigschneck's resort. Do you just get missions from one station or go between several?
Solely working the resort, game mode scumming. I think I saw you turn up, I'm buzzing about in a diamond back just on my last run before bed lol.
for some reason game mode scumming doesnt work for me, I do get a new set of missions in both open and solo but after I grab those I have to wait 10-15 more min before they both start refreshing missions. Oh well, I did find some donation missions in the other station so I can always knock those out while waiting.
Maybe because I'm fully allied with them they are coming faster, it only took 15 mins to fill up just now.
It's not very clear but heres video of the run before this one, you can see I jump at least 10% of viscount from less than 20 missions (if you pause it at the start you can see I am @ 90% before I turn them in).

what planet were the scans on? Nothing is showing up when I use my scanner.
Is this still working? I haven't played for weeks, so could really do with making up some lost time on the Imperial Rank side of things!
All on 5D. You need to use a discovery scanner (again) to initiate the missions. ONce you have honked all the missions update and will point to 5D, fly over there and as you get close a poi will pop up on the planet that you can see from orbit, fly to it and follow the moving reticule.
Park up, drop your SRV, drive in to the base scan the data point and drive out before they know what's happening. Once you get the hang of it it will take you no more than 5 minutes to compelte the missions.
Do you mean 6D? I am getting all my missions for 6D.

5D for me for sure! I guess the planet doesn't matter so much though
If I get enough free time I can have a cutter by Lunch time doing this if they don't dry up lol
Looks like a good location, thanks for the tip. For me mission location is also on 5D planet.
