General / Off-Topic Assange confirms Russia NOT involved in the DNC leak

Funny thing is, those senate committee sessions are usually top secret so at the end we'll just end up with politicians saying either the proof exists or not but no one will believe them because they didn't see the evidence themselves. So nothing will change.

A dark period in our post war history, with El Presidente Kekkonen who thought he was indispensable, and the only person who could dance with the Soviet Bear. You're not using the term quite right however.

bad jokes happen.

What "extreme right" is this again, or are we going with the RT version of events?

yes, the russian propaganda hyped it, the western propaganda still downplays it, but they were still instrumental and this is well documented. there indeed was an uprising, and the oligarchs' dogs were conveniently there to help steer it in the 'right' direction: another set of oligarchs who, for a change, were pro western. it's always the same.

Not to mention you also seem to want to respect Russia having a "sphere of influence". Eff that. Does it mean the UK should be free to annex the Republic of Ireland? It's definitely in their historical sphere of influence.

spheres of influence exist whether you like them or not. a more appropriate example would be russia exerting diplomatic pressure and economic favor on ireland for decades, then using an uprising to support a regime change in favor of ireland leaving the eu and joining the russian federation. i bet uk or the eu wouldn't blink an eye. spheres of influence, what's that?

You sure seem to love the Russian world view. Zero sum games all the way, and nihilistic disregard for the truth and human rights.

i'll just leave that there :)

peace, bro
try to read between the lies. all of them.

To be fair the Right Sector were pretty heavily involved in the events that led up to Yanukovyic leaving the Ukraine.

This is yuuuge. The corrupt scumbags exposed again! They've been trying to incite a cold war with Russia with false accusations of election interference. All because of their butthurt over the Trump victory. What a bunch of sick and twisted individuals.

Those who watched something else than the corrupt MSM knew this already. Assange stated a long time ago that the information came from an inside source.

Thank god they lost, bigly. And good riddance Obama.
Without wanting to stomp on toes.
Dislike Obama all you want, America has improved while he's been president.

Corruption is not a new thing, and it isn't a thing Obama can be at least soly blamed for, it is significantly more likely the source is from politicians that have been in their positions for a long long time.

Did Hillary represent more of that? who ultimately knows, in my book she didn't seem any better or worse then other politicians, remember what Snowden revealed? it is significantly bigger then any one person, but yes, if one person can be corrupt, it can easily encourage others and thus the system grows more and more corrupt.

Is Trump a great choice because he isn't part of that whole thing? well, isn't he? he seemed to quite honestly manipulate his campaign? promise things, that he has got no interest in keeping and so on. Like most other politicians do.
And remember, he too spoke out loudly about problems with the election.. just remember that.

Was the other side trying to put all the blame on Russia? Really? last I checked, as seen from an outside perspective, US generally always blames Russia, and Russia always blames US, its been going on for ages for both parties.

Just remember, that what you get now, is fully republican, you will now find out what in the best case scenario how they will run the US, so there is no one else to blame if it ends up being bad, and yes, if it ends up being great, it is to their credit.
Just remember to know the facts, not that you 'feel' it is like. Take the election where Trump said people felt afraid? people can 'feel' afraid all they want, they are still safer then they ever have been.

Feelings and what is actually going on does not always match, and don't you want a country that IS better off, rather then it 'feeling' better off?

That said, neither Trump nor Hillary were good choices in my book, only one that was a decent choice is the man who's worked his whole political life, the same way, working for people, Bernie should have been chosen as candidate, but lets face it, there's very little news worthy about a hard working good man, that just does what he can to help people? Now Scandalous Billionarie? vs ex first lady, with various potential political scandals? now that's news worthy.

The person most likely behind this inside leak, Seth Rich - rest in peace :( was shot multiple times in the back. They claim it was a robbery, yet none of his belongings were taken.
No surprise, the system and both parties are causing this, and who is going to stop them so why would they stop?

Really? Fox is not impressed? Well, that surprises me, usually they are the epitome of unbiased reporting and indepth tech knowledge.

But seriously, what would be 'proof' to you? In a way that:

1) They can release it without jeoparidizing anything
2) They cannot be accused of just making a text document up.

Because face it, people who call them liars now will call them liars when they show you some text file too. So if you dont take their word now, when will you? Or do you expect them to open the doors and allow every interested American to browse their computers? And then, couldnt it still be fake evidence?

All this 'there is no evidence' is . Either you believe them on their word or you believe Putin on his word. Thats the choice you have to make. Neither is very appealing, but one is slightly less absurd than the other.

They don't need to release any proof, because they'll just make up false evidence, just like they did to justify the second Iraq war. That still burns in my mind and it sickens me. No one will ever convince me that the US Intelligence Agencies are truthful about anything. They're disgusting agencies, who's only purpose is to trigger wars, coups and spread false info. So forgive me if I believe Putin's word, or indeed anyone's word over the cretins within the American Intel Services.

The American's own Director of National Intelligence, General James Clapper, lied to the American people when he said the NSA doesn't collect data on American civillians which he was called out on and which is a proven lie. Lol in fact, he lied to Congress. Why should any American, and even the world believe anything people like him have to say?

So forgive me if I believe Putin's word, or indeed anyone's word over the cretins within the American Intel Services.

That's not a "black or white" thing.
It's not taking anyone's word OVER anyone elses word or someone actually telling "the truth". It's manouvering yourself around other partie's agendas and supporting the cause that makes the most sense for you.

That's a "leftist" german magazine interviewing a russian dissident (and one of the smartest, most analytical and strategical minded people on this planet!):
http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/garry-kasparov-interview-putin-needs-wars-a-1061942.html

A year ago. :O

I even believe he has an interest in more and more people fleeing the country. The flow of refugees improves his negotiating position toward the West, including the German chancellor. By the way, he has more respect for her than any other Western politician. He despises most of the others. He mainly has friends in Europe among the extreme right, such as Marine Le Pen's Front National in France.

Republican Senator John McCain has just euphorically praised your book.

Kasparov: I don't make any secret of the fact that I'm closer to the Republicans than to the Democrats. But even under a President Hillary Clinton, US foreign policy toward Moscow would probably be more critical and confrontational. I hope it isn't too late for that.

uh huh. He said that over a year ago. Look at the events since then.

And you guys born in the West after 45 - you do not know indoctrination, fear or crisis. No matter how hard you try to rationalize it. I was born in a dictatorship. I grew up with that. Take my word when I tell you, you would not survive a year in that.

No point of argue, he is a beliver, and turns blind eye toward anything what's going against his view of words, including facts and evidences.

In front of the congress, the intelligence services accuse again the Russia and the China of influencing American affairs. Without giving of proofs at the moment ...

Trumph problem momentary is very simple. He don't like the idea Putin robbed him the clean Victory, so he is right now very off and throwing the blame around to everyone else. Because he can't face it, his ego can'"t take it he fact this victory is not his glory, but a worthless piece of tin bucket instead the golden cup he wanted. There is no proof, the Russians activity influenced the outcome? Now... seriously, What kind of proof you need when everyone knows how Hillary clinton popularity, fallen after the new FBI investigation followed by the leaked out E-mails? This is cannot be denied, and cannot be said there is no proof! No proof? true, but only because what we have is much more and way bigger, than a simple DNA scan from the end of a cigarette butt found in the venue.

All the leaks against Hillary and as it turned out dirty campaign, against Trumph too was the result of Putin's work. He stirred crap in the largest scale possible, for no other reason just to wreak havoc.
Divide est...

Hillary's dirty campaign against Trump was also Kremlin's work? You guys have totally "lost ground-contact" now, hehe.

Oh and btw, the reopening of the FBI investigation was after they(FBI, not KGB :p) PHYSICALLY found a huge cache of emails on Weiner's computer. But I guess Comey is a Putin operative.

And remember this little video from the Clinton Campaign meetings and how they planned to disrupt Trump rallies? It had to be !"#¤!&%! Putin [haha]

Clinton lost fair and square because people were tired of all her : Benghazi failure to act, email server lies, payed wallstreet speeches, her totally open borders vision for the west(globalist), and finally Bernie Sanders cheated from nomination, ...
The Democrats can blame themselves for not nominating Sanders, he would have beaten Trump in the rust belt and most likely won the electoral college vote.
Now they can forget about winning in 4 years. Cause MAGA ;) Trump won't even need to campaign.

So far I've been very good at spotting proper information over fake news. And I find the big media outlets to be far from neutral.

Says the gentleman who's just asserted Hillary Clinton MURDERED a random campaign aide, whose family is begging people like you to stop making their son into some neo-con saint/martyr.

New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Atlantic, NY magazine, all great news outlets. But the key to being well informed is still reading multiple news agencies, and paying attention to the details, and then forming your view, that will most likely be somewhere in the middle of all the above outlets.

Donald Trump is an egotistical man-child with the intellectual curiosity of a rock, who just so happened to stumble upon the exact moment The Republicans had destroyed government enough to get the American people angry enough to vote for a walking disaster. Problem is, it was supposed to be their walking disaster.

The die-hard trumpers, are as delusional as he is petty. And will believe anything he tells them, or anything that supports their nihilist worldview.

However, the good news is that Republicans - And trump by extension - are about to be revealed for who they really are. It's easy to scream about being "oppressed" when you can vote to repeal 30 million people's healthcare knowing full well that Obama would never sign it. Now, though, they are responsible. In four years, Trump will lose and the GOP will be in shambles. Of their own doing, of course.

The Democratic Party did add a lot to their defeat. They could have sent Sen. Sanders into the Race, but pushed for Hillary and her "will to power".
Those who desire power are the last ones to deserve it.

And those hacked E-Mails were weak sauce. If you bothered trying to read trough some of them .. they're 99.9% boring and only confirm what everyone who wanted to know already knew - politicians get elected and 'legitimized' by "the people", but only do the bidding of their multi-billion donors.
Surprise, surprise, -le gasp-.

And the remaining 1% is nothing more just a flea blown up to elephant, explained in ways which shred bad light to Hillary, and the opposite was also happened. This was putin's work. To create Chaos, and rifts.

- Divide est conquest!

And some other internet activists also took place of this, by further weakening the trust toward politicians cops, and army, so the rifts between the society growing even bigger. No problems? No problem!!! Find something and make it appear much more bigger, and serious! Fund and secretly support the organizations whom making a noise about these things! like Migration problem in EU Ethnics political and religious standoffs, old grievances, material inequalities, ects ects... This is What an EX KGB officer know, prepared and trained for. If nothing else use the homosexuals, and jevs to make this kind of social noise. These two is an evergreen scapegoat alongside with the dirty rich for this kind of social upheaval.

Sanders is rather a lot like Corbyn in the UK. He has a reputation for honesty and integrity but he is perfectly willing to lie and pander to anti-immigration rhetoric when it suits him.

Clinton is a stateswoman with decades of political experience, was popular with the international community, is an accomplished diplomat, and she actually won the greater share of the vote. Yet the most qualified person to be president for a generation is being passed over for a sleazy cartoon villain.

Strange and tragic world.

Agree. The emails were literally nothing. So much nothing that they had to concoct conspiracy theories out of code words to find something, but "email" and "Hillary" in a headline goes a long way with Fox News and a million talk radio heads.

The point a lot of people are missing is this: the Democratic Party was decimated at the state level, as well as the national level under obama. The reason? Obamacare. They spent a ton of political Capitol to pass that, and it gave the GOP something to rally around. And if you ask obama today if he regrets it? His answer is "No, look how many people we've helped." Millions of people not worried about lifetime caps or ore-existing conditions. That's real progress. That's who our leaders should be, people willing to spend their political influence on doing good for citizens. And obama will be remembered for it well by history.

The GOP on the other hand, will spend their little Capitol - with a ton of influence, mind you - on things that will hurt Americans, and the world alike. Nuclear arms race? Repealing healthcare of millions, deregulating, denying climate change to chase short term profits, all this will hurt us all in a bad way. And they will pay for it in 2018 & 2020

The reason?

Fear.

I spent some 5 years traveling Europe, from Russia to Greece and doing IT projects to get factories onto our system. I trained hundreds of Factory workers (and picked up some nice cusswords in about a dozen languages from Taxi drivers :) .. so yea, no matter how exotic, I might be able to insult you in your mother tongue ;) ) .
It took me 3 out of the 5 days workshop I had (with superusers!) to convince them that recieving that training will secure their jobs (for now). For them, I was a tie-wearing ahole there to show them how smart I am and how not-smart they are.
"The Truth" is that automation cannot be stopped and most factory workers will have to look for different jobs. Be it in the service sector or public sector or artisan/upscale market sector.
Noone can bank on "how things" worked, but everyone should have an opportunity to constant learning til retirement. For the drop-outs, there needs to be a social network to catch them.

Tell that straight to those guy's faces and they'll burn you at the stake. It's your fault that things are "going downhill" and they are not allowed to those dirty, boring, numb, underpayed jobs their fathers used to do with great pride. How dare you?
