no signs of infections after 2 hyperdictions

Was the rumour of a hyperdicted commanders hands becoming more orange/infected looking every verified?
I would check but I'm currently in Colonia, heavily debating flying back - but want to see the new Canonn Colonia Department base first >.> blagghh!!

Humour me tho': I'll happily shut up if a) I get winter'd or b) another CMDR who has never interacted with an UP or it's constituents :p

Well the first player to get pulled out of hyperspace was only carrying magnetic emitter coils and others have confirmed that they weren't carrying any cargo but were still pulled out of hyperspace by a Thargoid ship.

However, your second point has yet to be confirmed and is a good question; one I think we need answered.

I have one question, if you are on Hyperdrive from system A to system B and you are hyperdicted by the aliens, where is your ship dropped? System A? System B? A middle point in nowhere? How is this shown on the Galaxy Map?

It drops you in the system you were jumping from albeit at a random location within it.

Frontier did make a statement and said that old lore is like it have never happened so this is our first encounter with them

Regardless of that, they have Tourist Locations in the game to go to the first place Thargoids were seen, so they must have forgotten they'd said that previously. (If they did)

There was a report of a CMDR testing to see if his Eagle alt who has never even heard of U-stuff can get hyperdicted-- and he was.

Every time we get back on the subject of why the Pleiades, I just keep going back to MB saying during the barnacle hunt "nebulae are logical if you think about it".. and yet.. we still have no idea why that's logical other than the higher content of gases and metals. And if that's the reason, why aren't they in every nebula? So far, we still only have a certain 3 that have them. I still feel like we missed a big clue with the barnacles for why some of this is happening.

I can think of one other good reason.... Navigation. Something like the Pleiades is unique and recognisable across vast distances. :)

I think it was more like it was so long ago it's ancient history, no one alive who remembers and most people don't believe it.

Yeah this falls into 'the machine theory' which a number of players (including myself) subscribe to. The major weakness with this view atm is not being able to interact with the ruins in some logical way and basically being reliant on a future key to unlock something. Personally I feel that attempting to decode the patterns outside the game is not the answer but I am happy to be proved wrong.
