I agree that it could be a case of creating something where there is nothing,
all the same I think it is quite clear that the audio is that of a voice.
That is the part that intrigues me the most, the sound, although difficult to understand, or not possible to understand.. is still a voice/language.

Surely an intelligent race would attempt some form of communication, ether through sound or light... or both.
I'm no sound pro, tho I will put the file into Ableton tomorrow, and hopefully find something clear.

If you had been following this thread from the beginning you'd know how many voices and faces have been heard and seen everywhere.

However, as a sound designer myself, everytime I need to create a sound that resembles some kind of "unknown or mysterious" communication, first thing I do is I record my voice, then I start working on it, tweaking it with every filter I have.
Just saying... ;)

Anyway, as always, please go on with you enjoying your science, however you like doing it! :)

They may be producing meta alloys to achieve this in the resource rich nebulae, allowing them to establish a foothold and sustain themselves for long enough to achieve some purpose, such as a colonisation attempt. I was looking at the pictures with the breakdown of parts and saw that the smaller pieces were labeled as possibly looking like landing gear and it got me thinking. I saw your post and I do agree with it. It almost looks like the backside of the squidblossom(?) could land face up, and the hole in the back of it would line up with the opening of the barnacle. I wonder if anyone who has models of the ship and barnacle could see how the pieces would mate together if the two were to interact in this way.

Yep, unfortunately that is the likelihood of it,
if we reverse engineer the audio we come back to the original sound or voice without the effects.
All the same, a good idea to check the audio for a possible clue I think, because I notice FD can be very sneaky indeed.

I don't think it in the audio we must look, I would decode the visual yellow bar codes that you see during the scanning phase. This is what i'm sure we need to decode.

The fact is tho, there is definitely a voice in the audio & I would be quite surprised if FD had sampled a voice and put it into the Alien Ships Audio if it had no deeper meaning.
I'm really not sure... but the audio as you have presented it on sound cloud sounds to me like...

"They know your plans"

My instinct feeling there is a direct attempt to communicate during the encounter.

Here is the clearest image of the barcode from my own encounter - is it the same for everyone? I have not picked up this before in videos I've seen and it was a surprise to me when I saw it.

I second this. It could be very likely we are being directly communicated with. They are just waiting for the correct response / action. Could the image hidden in the audio from the Unknown probes be a code key. And this yellow image projection from the new vessel the actual message they want us to decipher? Anyone tried simple morse?

Absolutely worth investigation,
I'm sure if there is a form of attempted communication during the encounter, it will be either through sound or light.

I have encountered one of those vessels too. It happened on a jump from PLEIADES SECTOR GW-W C1-12 to HIP 17225. I was carrying two unknown artefacts in a shielded container.
What I immediately noticed, was that this was definately not one of those ships, that have disabled and stole my flying saucer! I believe that vessel does not belong to the species that you call "Thargoids".

Let me tell you a little story about my old home planet Oxxo, wherever it may be...
We know of a couple of asteroids, where floral life has emerged to a quite astonishing level of development. They were even able to start a telepathic kind of communication to our own species, and for many thousand years they were living at their places and grew and prospered.
But one day they started to wither without our notice and when it was almost too late they all together cried for help. The Oxxians could not sleep for almost a week! And they told us their problem. A fungal disease has infected a population of insect beings (that we didn´t care much about) used to pollinate the plants. It was only a matter of luck that we, the Oxxians had a biological compatible species of insects that was able to live and repopulate these asteroids. After that the flower populations recuperated.

I personally think.. something similar used to happen in this part of the galaxy too! The insect species that you called the Thargoids were expelled, but the species of those recent encounters, a very highly advanced floral life, were depending on them! The miss them, they are seeking them, they are growing buds that search for the Thargoids. They know they need ammonia..
And their ships look like a flower, not like a crab!
And they wither in our space, because it is not green! They live in those green clouds and caverns that somepeople claim to notice in witchspace.

We need to help them, because we(you) are the reason for their nearing extinction!

There are tons of speculation on the markings in thread one. We never had a definitive answer. Keep looking. There might be a system to this, after all.:)

Agree that the "Barcode" is by far the most obvious hint there, but im totally not capable of doin anything with it, so i stick with the audio i guess, the "Hello" seems far to clear to be just a byproduct of filtering.
Dont get me wrong, i totally appreciate everyone diggin in the "barcode" who know what to do with it :)

That is extremely spooky.
I think FD knew we would look into the audio,
seems they have put things in there to spook us out.
Either that or the Alien is talking to us.

Thinking about how you could communicate in code to other races, what things everybody does that could be recognised and how it seems to be two mid-length words maybe that's Thargoid for "HELLO WORLD"
