Hardware & Technical I just bought a new computer!!!!!!

Enjoy the new rig, the game looks great with all settings on max. With the 780 GPU have you considered running 3 monitors?

My girlfriend would kick me right in my groin -- on her way out the door -- if I went with three monitors. :)

I just got her cool with the idea that I needed this insane computer, an X52 pro, and trackir (plus the trackclip,) just to play this game!

If I tried to buy two more monitors, she'd... well. I told you already.

Could a 780 run three monitors on high settings?

Nice spec.

Don't worry about the mobo chipset being "dead" in a couple of months.. As long as it fires up all the other components, and keeps working for more than 3 years, then it's all good. It's not like games or software companies are suddenly going to stop supporting that particular chipset.

Enjoy!

Also considering that time that takes to develop a game that would utilize at least 75% of all that juice will take much longer. Have you noticed how few games are released now for PS4 and XBONE? It's not different for games requiring High end PC. The time span between game releases will get longer and longer depending on how good they will be and how soon developers will get access to new DirectX or new dev kits for next gen of the consoles.

I just use Microsoft's own AV... it's not bloated (surprisingly) and, combined with computer literacy and common sense, I've never had a virus. If you visit dodgy sites and blindly open attachments you may need something beefier though! ;)
