Probably using a couple of those Limited Edition 12 sided Dungeons and Dragons Dice and you gotta roll a Pair lol

I borrowed the picture of the first page.. Thank you who ever made it, its perfect.

I am still bothered with this barcode, or code in general theory.

As you can see the "code" appears to be inside the cockpit. Why? Why would an highly advanced alien life form use our helmets visor to reflect a "code" on it.

Its gotta be a reflection form our visors. There is nothing else there.

If they alien is advanced enough to beam a hologram, why would it do it inside our ships? Why not just beam that hologram in space? Besides, if you move your head left and right, the "code" is shrinking. The only way you see it in its full glory, is if you look directly into the lasers. So, i am sorry guys, but im pretty sure this is just a reflection from your helmet visors.

Ah, just looked at this - given it's a game I suspect there is a lot of overthinking about all of this to some extent but, I see what you mean about it being "inside the cockpit" where the left hand portion of the (alleged) barcode obstructs the left hand strut of the cockpit canopy. However to me a simple 'in game' explanation might be that you are looking directly at the main light source of the probe when doing so. Therefore it's likely that the message is being imprinted directly on to your retina. hence it appears to be inside the cockpit. (EDIT: I admit moving your head around to see it more clearly might do a lot to invalidate that explanation, but like I said - overthinking!)

Like I said, to me the barcode represents a structured, non-random sequence of lights. If it was just lens flare, I would expect a straight line of light from the main source. Not all these blocks, lines and "barcodes".

You do wonder how much of a laugh FD get out of some of the speculation on this thread. I'd imagine some of it is completely off the reservation, while some of it is probably a hell of a lot closer to the mark than we realise.

you are. And I am.

However, what I think is that we are facing something similar to the UA and UP Convoys: we've always suspected there could have been an overall hourly/daily/weekly limit for them to spawn: if this limit is reached, no more spawns until next cycle.

The Pips on the left are different from the pips on the right.

If we assume the pips on the Left are Morse code or Binary and the pips on the right are the same block code we see from the Monolith spectrogram at the Alien ruins.

Could they be saying the same thing? each side a translation for the other, a Rosetta stone for the Alien language.

A few letters / numbers here... but maybe future encounters will provide a different set of characters. building an alphabet or Number system.

maybe this one. I got 2 hyperdiction after the first contacts occured, and then nothing.

OR

maybe the alien has found what he was looking for. Alien? or alienS? We are not even sure about the number of ships involved in hyperdictions

Further thought from the "code". Decided that because if there is a T in there that I would look at Tau Systems. First one that pops up when I type Tau in the galaxy map is TAU ANDROMEDAE right smack in the SYNUEFE sector of space. Has anyone been there? I am out near Colonia and thus 22,000ly away. It's a blue/white star as well

I would just imagine that its because ANDROMEDAE starts with the letter A.
And the SYNUEFE a coincidence.
But people have time and few idea's right now.. so it would not hurt to look.

Best and clearest frame I could extract from the video. It's got the least amount of lens flare and bloom in the sequence, but sorry guys it's not that great.

I think having a poke around merope and 5c is worth another look

I for one felt that the whole pointing to 5C thing was very anticlimactic, and there had to be more to it that we just never figured out. I'm headed that way from the rift mostly because I want to see the 'hyperdiction', but I'd be up for some perusing also.
