Best way to make money.

So I have not played in about 5 months now and I am back. So I checked out robigo mines since i made most of my money from there, but I found out that it got nerfed... Plus the near by places people say have good missions don't even have them. So whats the best way to make money?? I have balance of 19mil Here are my ships: Asp, vulture, type 6, cobra, viper, and a diamond back explorer.

there is no way to make money in the game.

the only thing that can be earned is CR.

as for that: state depending trading, skimmer missions, passenger missions.

Massacre mission stacking in a warzone. Bonus points if you find a single capital ship. Ally with it and set your turrets to Fire at Will. Every ship you aggro counts as a kill when it dies.

There are numerous way ingame to make money. With some alterations they have always been there. Before i go into detail i'd like to point something out though. If you made all the money for your fleet by running robigo runs then there might not be a real equivalent to that anywhere. Don't get me wrong, i really don't care how you spent your time ingame, but nearly all ways to make some money - next to running things where the hand-holding is being provided by ways of meta sources (go here, shoot 5 skimmers, this, that, done.) - would require some motivation to work stuff out. Absolutely fine if you can't be asked to, afraid i can't help in this case, except maybe with this:
People say there's good easy money in running massacre missions (numerous yt "guides" out there), i couldn't speak for that though. At best it seem temporary and might as well go the route that robigo, sothis/ceos took. But there's where i'd try for quick money.

As already suggested you could also figure out how the game mechanics help you finding your own fun way of getting some $.
Some suggestions:
different types of Passenger missions (long range pays best + explo data), your Asp, T6 would make quite capable long range passenger ships;
figuring out system states and how they influence each other (example: hauling medicine to a boom state sys. may not be grreat, how about an outbreak system instead, a t6 could easily make a few million/h just going point to point);
make sure you know how your standing with a minor faction influences the type and pay grade of a mission to get a grip on where to look for well paying runs and how a system type/status also has an influence on the missions available;
be aware of what you want to do with the money, or even after you got it, need engineering materials? you could combine your missions/trade runs with a station that *produces* the materials, no time wasted if you need the stuff later and you'd be doing it while making money;

*system-state *produces* the mats, example pharmaceutical isolators only in "outbreak" systems

how about a combination of rare trade routes in sync with passengers (there's many circle routes which you'd just need to slightly adjust to your passengers needs, usually not much time wasted compared to a basic rare trade run, in this case with a few mil. passenger fee's on top)
... and so on

Basically what i'm saying is this, decide if you want to keep asking for exact pointers - nothing wrong with it - or if you want to become apt in figuring stuff out for yourself with maybe a little help on how to get started. It would open the game for you in quite a bit different and maybe interesting way - than the "meta-pointing-help" could ever do. If you can't be asked: youtube -> "massacre missions".

Yeah for 'skirting with sexism' to use your prissy words HOW DARE YOU CLOSE THAT THREAD I have a formal reply from FD on the crew pictures and I dare not post in anywhere!

I'm over it, its OK :)

Agony, are you referring to a dating duck? Rainy day, walks in the park, hates housing sauce. HOISIN sauce, smartphone my Asp.

Two ways have worked for me:

1. Get allied/friendly with a faction based out of a tourist station. Sol works great for this. Stack passenger missions that are either transport missions or short sightseeing missions (only ~200 ly in any direction).

2. Get allied/friendly with a faction present at a planetary military economy in a war/civil war system. Use board hopping to stack as many massacre missions as possible.

I've found passenger missions out of tourist stations to be well paid, I only ran my DBX with a class 4 economy cabin (8 passengers) and made around 3-4mil per/hr, although I was friendly with the faction, later allied, this is a big thing these days, gone are the days of randomly picking a nearby system that fits the bill, you need to gain rep to get the big bucks.

As mentioned, gone are the days of randomly dropping in for $$$ missions. You'll need 'Friendly' for the good missions, 'Allied' for the great ones. But this was the same for Ceos/Sothis before the great nerf. Takes time to build it up. But there are some nice passenger missions once you get the rep. If you could stack a few Sag A* missions, you'd make soem nice bank. I have one right now for a 7k LY trip, paying 22 million. My engineered AspX is making quick work of it, plus exploration data, for what I figure will take 7 hours round trip. 3 mill an hour.

Or massacre missions, as mentioned.

For quick non-rep money, shipping basic meds to outbreak systems is hard to beat. If you can make credits on the return trip, even better. Figure about 2,500-3000 credits profit per ton on the meds, and then the return trip. If you can do 4 round trips an hour, with 500 credits per ton on the return, doing 150 tons.. you should be making over 2 million an hour. In a 700 ton Cutter... over 10 million! Not bad. Comparable to Ceos/Sothis or Robigo. Boring, but it generates the credits.

sorry, 3/4 ml per/h is a good profit?

in the 2015, with trading (and not robigo/sothis) i've done 8-10 ml per/h with aspx, 12+ with python.

in hres now, you can do more than 4-5 ml per/h if you are lucky

3-4 ml x hour it's not a good profit/time.
find something else, but i know that atm there is nothing out of there (with my 2° cmdr i have some difficult now, but hres is the best choice if you don't find other)

state depending trading. if you find your own routes not using third party apps you'll make 5000+ cr/t profit a-b-a ... that's around 14+ mio/h in a cutter (and how i became trading in elite some days ago).

gratz to you CMDR, but found a good profit loop trade without external tool it's very rare and need a lot of lucky :D

once upon a time there was a very good smuggling trade from empire to alliance (if i remember well) , when imp slaves had more payout on black market than normal market.
now i've found that normal market pay more than black :|

A note on trading... DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to Master combat rank if you have any interest in doing cargo runs. Once you hit Master, you will only be interdicted by things that outclass you. Anything pure freighter becomes a deathtrap. Even that Python becomes a 5m liability just because RNG decides to send a wing of 2 diamondbacks and an anaconda after you. There is also no running away any more since ships that you've run from appear instantly on your location and shooting when you leave supercruise, even if you left them in your wake 3,000ls back and didn't even give them a chance to scan. You lose more than you will gain.
