The mission we get at Meeme Says please explore as many ancient sites as you can find...

So more ruins maybe?

I guess so,
if there is something hidden in the ruins,
like the temples on earth pointing to specific stars in the night-sky,
i figure we need data from multiple locations to get a result and
find the "system" they are pointing to.
I think we need data from 4 different sites,
to calculate precisely where they are pointing.
IF they all are pointing towards a single system.

Our player group notified the community there were three bases to explore at the time the first ruins were discovered, which incidentally we also notified the community the ruins existed months before it was introduced into the game. Glad to see you are all playing catch up. Try looking towards the Horsehead Nebula and out towards the Rift. Haven't checked but there was an area permit locked pre update. Will check tomorrow when in game.

So, I'm off to work so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but I just read some of the data blobs more.

-"The Guardians" sent out three "long range" ships.
-There was a north/south divide due to conflict.

Given it'll take roughly a day to exhaust all the possible (local) combinations, I wonder if we'll find more ruins either:
- On this planet (these ones are "in the south" so do we check the North?
- In the three areas from the recent CG of The Conflux, The Rift and Hawkin's Gap?

I have already started a scout run!

- - - Updated - - -

I always thought there could be something else on this planet!

How could something exist months before it was introduced to the game?

Every second obelisk I scan I get no message for. It's getting very annoying.

Same for me. Probably bugged. In that case FD will do a hotfix tomorrow / in couple of days.

This whole bruteforce thing is kinda ... . If we'd have some references on what pairs/singles to use based on those glyths or somehow differentely in game that would make a total sense.

I guess I'll just wait till all combinations are discovered. Have no point of wasting few hours bruteforcing all possible combinations.

Was there a agreement on who is the guy painted on one of the "doors" at the ruin site?
I mean not by person.
I just didn't see it listed on the front page and as much as I'm sure you had some discussion about it I find it overwhealming to read through 1800pages.
For that I'm sorry

Let's see... if you say there are other Ruins in permit locked area, but you are aware of them, I can think of ONLY ONE REASON for you to know about them... ;)

However, any CMDR on this thread is SHARING his knowledge with each other, because it's how real science works, we are OPEN SOURCE here:
playing riddles has more to do with fantasy and magic instead. So if you want to do SCENCE, please share, if you want to do magic, then fly safe... somewhere else ;)

Which lore(s)? Are you able to provide links for us to read?
I've been following these threads closely with no mention multiple ruins before.
Sorry if I sound rude, not trying to be!

No problem. There are two versions which were written and are on Google. The first dates to the original game and the accompanying book by Robert Holdness (RIP). The second is the chronological event list that accompanied the second and third games. Taken together, they show a good Lore and a bad Lore. This version of the game makes use of both versions but creates a new third Lore. In this version the 3 bases are former Guardians bases. In the other versions they were invasion points for the Thargoids.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick response! I'll have to check those out when I get home from work. If I find anything of interest I will post it on this thread!
Thanks again and safe flying cmdr!
