Righto, once I had scanned the 15 obelisks I marked it off on my little spread sheet which went something like this:

So after my 405 scans and only having collected 11 of them. I'd have to guess that there's either at least 7 other patterns in which obelisks activate in, that there's an order to which one must scan obelisks in, that there's potentially 7 other ruins floating about, that having the correct items only gives a chance to grant the data, or that some data is only available to those nearby (potentially with the same or different items).

Or it's just bugged as the Adjudication server has been booting people regularly (about every 8 to 12 scans for me).

I should mention that there has bee time where I would scan an obelisk and Ram Tah wouldn't say anything at all.

Most of this was done in open until it started crashing to desktop upon login.

Ram-Tah research says that there were 2 races: one red skinned, headed north. The south one was green skinned.
According to the ammount of combinations available, it is very likely that we are missing a second ruin site at least.

This leads me to think that it is possible that there is a second ruin somewhere in the northern hemisphere of the same planet.

I believe we need a careful exploration of the norther hemisphere.

The conflict that separated their society happened before the off-world colonisation. We need to find if this planet is before or after the overpopulation problems happened. If this is their homeworld, is certain we can find the other clan. If not, it is just a colony.

The ruins(Synuefe xr-h d11-102, Planet 1 B) are not necessary their home world, in fact given the lack of atmosphere and size of the site it's VERY unlikely it was ever a populated planet, more just a launch pad and/or outpost used on route to somewhere else. Not saying don't look for another site on the same planet, just saying I believe it's extremely unlikely you'll find anything.

If this happens to be their homeoworld what we are seeing is not just the ruins of a civilisation: We have just uncovered a planetary catastrophe that ended all life on it!
Joining that with the knowledge that they managed to develop full AI sentience that is... scary, at best.

Adding to the gathered data:

I am having a (fast) check on the spreadsheet. We will need some volunteers to help me organizing it in a more comprehensive way. Using the transcriptions someone did (sorry I can't properly check cmdrs names now) and everything we should be able to build a grid with all the possible combinations. We should also include all findings done by cmdrs in this forum and that not necessarily have been submitted through the form.

If you want to volunteer, please send me a PM. I'll grant you access to edit the spreadsheet so you can start working on it.

This naming seems to be logical. Urn - what can you find in urn? Some biological data. Tablet - obvious, language! Orb - weird stuff you don't get it= technology. Then what we can get from Totem and Relic? Maybe some data about culture with Totem? Relic? Data about... architecture or sth?

REALLY GOOD OBSERVATION, CMDR!

Casket contains dead bodies, mummies, history.

I bet totem or relic is religion.

Maybe totem is social hierarchy;

By the way, regarding hyperdictions: We may have the first confirmed hyperdiction OUTSIDE of the UA shell. Can someone check the distance of Hyades sector TTQ B5-5 from Merope? If more than 150, Jackpot!

last night while i was waiting for my wingman to follow me to the ruins i stopped in to the system right next to where the ruins are, the system name is Synuefe PJ-D b46-6 it looked very interesting, lots of planetary bodies most of them landable, i did have a quick look at planet 1 and its moon, i also had a quick flioght round planet 4 as it looked very much like the planet the ruins are on, as its very close by and would take a while to reach at sublight speeds, could this be a good place to start looking for a second ruins site (or homeworld).

Thoughts?

I can't rep that right now, but seriously, if FD made that one change to exploration it would make an immeasurable improvement.

Unfortunately I've not been able to play for a day or two because life has got in the way. However something I did wonder - could anyone who has been Hyperdicted check to see if COL 70 Sector is still locked for them (Specifically Col 70 Sector F7-N C21-3, where the UP is transmitting to)? I did wonder if the interaction with the Unknown Ship might somehow give access?

Apolgies if this has already been checked - I've been reading this thread since the US appeared and I don't remember reading that anyone has checked - a quick search drew a blank, so apologies if this has been asked/checked on before.

I posted here before putting it on reddit (which I assume is where you saw it)

The system I was actually in at the time was "HYADES SECTOR ON-S B4-5", which is 215LY from Merope. "" TTQ B5-5 was the system I was jumping to.
