What is your preferred In-Flight Entertainment?

So I'm currently heading back from Beagle Point and as I was traveling I was wondering what does everyone here do to pass the time during a long trip in elite dangerous? Usually I sit my laptop right in front of my tv and watch netflix or youtube. Maybe even a bag of chips and a drink. So what do yall do when you've got a long road ahead?






P.S. I always rant to my friends about this but, frontier needs to add a feature where you can stream netflix or youtube to your central panel in-game that way everything you need is right there and you don't require a second screen (Come on frontier help me out here)

This would be the coolest feature in the game, to be able to utilize third party software on an in-game screen... In fact, if it was expanded on, say when we have multi-crew and one CMDR could pilot while the other went into a "lounge" type room for journey's that had these screens... That would be the coolest feature in any game I have ever played...

Something like this IS possible, games like Gmod have plugins that enable you to spawn in screens that enable you to watch youtube or whatever as you play so it COULD happen

Its just a skin for the VLC Player, that you can download here. All you gotta do is apply it to VLC, set Elite for windowed borderless mode, and hit CTRL + T to keep the VLC player on top. Enjoy. :D

PD: PC version only [sad]

I like listening to podcasts while playing, allows me to focus on the screen. Also like browsing reddit and youtube sometimes if i'm doing stuff that doesn't require a whole lot of attention such as jumping.

When doing passenger missions or cargo, i tend to snap youtube and watch The Great War channel, very informative documentaries about the first world war. But other times i just have BSG or Star Trek music playing.

I must ask... it will not stay on top of Elite, in borderless- that is you can't "play" while you "watch". I mean- it's fine! :) Just--- if you could have it over the comms panel AND play- it'd be just fine... :p

Play Elite in borderless windowed mode, then you can play VLC over the top. You might have to set VLC's option to always be on top.
