Horizons Queues at Jameson

Using a docking computer at Jameson Memorial lately always puts you waiting in a queue, and it's a queue that barely moves.

I've been doing a few sightseeing runs, which involve popping in at various starports as we tootle around, to top up the tanks. I always use the DC when I'm within range (just more relaxing, but still keeping an eye on it) but nowhere else that I've been so far on these runs results in a queue - I just get posted in and docked quick and easy as you like.

Only Jameson almost always has a queue. It doesn't look busy, there's no more coming and going than anywhere else. Is this a bug? Or am I missing something?

I think it's on purpose.
Because you know, docking computer, Jameson, Elite player ... [big grin]

But I was denied the permission once or twice (without docking computer). It can be a busy star port at rush hour (and especially after an update).

Busy I could understand, but watching the slot while sitting parked in the queue, there's minimal activity - certainly not significantly more than anywhere else in the bubble - and very few are big ships approaching to dock or emerging from the slot (I'm in a Beluga).

Taking over from the DC and entering the port on manual also shows no great activity inside either.

I don't mind queueing (being a Brit!), but I really would like to know what the DC knows that I don't - perhaps it's buggily reacting to something in a parallel universe? I always play in Mobius, BTW, and only occasionally see a human CMDR.

Sounds like a bug if there're no human players around.
Fly manually through the slot and activate the DC when inside. It should work.

The DC does have issues when there are a lots of real players about, because most don't know how to use the slot correctly and it panics the DC. I fly in manually and let the DC take it from there, when I have a DC fitted of course.

If you can't get docking permission in open, go to group or solo and you can get in.

Nothing; as long as all the other players get to see you do it.

I do, and it does James does manage to put the old crate down straighter than I can. But I only need to do that at Jameson.

I really hope it's on purpose. As a punishment. If there is ANYWHERE in the galaxy where you should show off your piloting skills, it's in the home of pilot's federation.
TBH, docking computers should be banned in Shinrarta altogether.
