It was unfortunate what happened to this commander during an alien encounter, hope he gets his rebuy back from FD, but notice the NPC struck the alien a couple of times, it revealed it's shields.

It's not something I'd expected in a scripted event, so be prepared to meet these beasts outside scripted events.

Has anyone tried using a combination involving an Ancient Relic and an Unknown Artefact or Unknown Probe?

Would be interesting to see if there are secret combinations to unlock?

Just had a thought about why only some obelisks are active in solo, and more with other players.

This may have been said before, but could the relics scattered around on the ground when the instance starts effect the obelisks negatively? Once they are all scooped up, more obelisks light up. Or we need to place them by the right groups to active more?

Which map are we using now for this? I have 8/13 and wanna get the last 5.
 
Quick question. Since the ruins were discovered a way they were not meant to be, has anyone actually found any of the clues that were left for us to find them? Maybe seeing how they wanted us to find them might help us locate more, or reveal something important?

Were there any clues even left? I never heard anyone mention them.
 
I refuse to bow to dillholes. Of course my time zone means I don't get the worst of them out there...

Definitely not BOWING to any dillhole but not going to let the dillholes gets their rocks off on my expense. I am fine with solo or mobius, seen that some folks are now saying PGs are allowing possible completion I will jump back in since the Mobius group is the best.

I can't seem to think this puzzle would force players to open. I feel like we're missing something.

Perhaps activating one obelisk triggers another? When I'm in open, I can sit in a group and watch the obelisks turn on. I can't do that in solo, but if my guess is right, that's because I'm the only one scanning.

So either:

1. Scanning an obelisk activates another
2. FDev wants us to be in open, where we experience griefing and more common crashes in congested areas. 13 is the limit in solo. Why 13?

I feel like it's #1!

Now if there could be a pattern to it, we could even create a step-by-step guide eventually, on how to get all decoded logs.

Has anyone experienced a weird buzzing noise along with quick beeps in sequence while in their SRV? It started happening to me a few minutes ago and went away when I entered my ship. I couldn't hear it while using the debug camera. Thinking its just a sound glitch, wanna make sure. I recorded some of it.

The thread moves pretty quick, so I'll relink this post so I don't keep saying the same thing repeatedly :)

tl;dr statefulness isn't something that's done very well in ED.

Thanks, I feared someone brought this up already. One note:

- Everyone sees an active beacon. One person scans it, it deactivates... meanwhile other players still see the beacon as active (Scanning the beacon only disables it for one person)

I was in open a bit ago and had a Obelisk turn off on me mid-scan. An error popped up on the top right, and said "ERROR: Ancient data has already been .....something. Can't recall."

No one was nearby.
