Is there a need to hold all the Obelisk scan data records in ones hold? aka, has anyone seen a correlation between the number of data records in one's hold vs some "unlocking" mechanism? As seen with things such as unlocking Engineers, was wondering if upon obtaining a certain number of Obelisk scan data records, something will unlock perhaps even tied to another engineer or Ram himself (if you go visit)?

Otherwise, was wondering if could simply dump them to free data space?!

The sun will be rising in the next day or two, will be interesting to see if there are any further alignments, I'll certainly be there for sunrise, and will post any interesting developments

Barnard's loop sets over the sticky out bit from your sunset line (it did yesterday)

Since you can always get new ones, I think its safe to dump them all. I do all the time. Keep only around 20 of each.

This is just a guess :
- The mission is assumed to last 4 weeks.
Maybe, each week, others or more Obelisk will be accesible.
Maybe the relog trick just make the script, server (I don't know what) crash, that why we can find other obelisk pattern accesible.

That's all I got, fly safe cmdr o7, over and out.

Just thinking that we may not have the 'key' objects correct in all situations, maybe it also depends on the next data type in the scan sequence.

Clearly some issues. That will buy us some time I guess.

We better use that time to try and locate other ruins, I think. I don't know how, but I thing unregistered beacons are our best option.

If you pass an ELW, drop by and see if there is something there.

Wellllll....

At this point, there are lot of things in question now. Even if there are supposed to be additional ruins, are they actually there, or are they bugged as well...see Formadine Rift thread. Are there clues as to where they might be...located in the bugged content? I have a feeling that aside from what was discovered in the first few hours...we have spent the past several days doing nothing more than hammering and confirming a bug over and over. Yes, we managed to eek out some information by essentially exploiting the bug, but nothing really that we can be confident that has progressed the mission in any way.

This is truely fascinating data commander, as an engineer myself I have to admit I'm highly curious about the Guardians technology. It seems that the guardians had a particular fascination with geometric shapes, which they used to illustrate connections between themselves and the world around them. This predilection manifested itself in their technology as well - specifically their monolith network. With this data and the help of the galactic community we've partially mapped the monolith network, which formed the backbone of their communications technology, and discovered that they too are arranged in geometric patterns. Whilst this does not give us full access to the network, I believe it is the first step to unlocking the entire system and maybe more

Guys, this MUST be a clue.

The only idea I have left but it bugs me for a few days now. Let's assume the Ruins are actually a map:

http://imgur.com/pN7WPS9

I mean especially the areas marked in white. Could the indicate a movement in a certain direction? I remembered that on drawings and comics a motion is always indicated by special "doodles"

So the planet would go clockwise, while the rotation of the planet itself is counterclockwise - if you take the marked area as "tail". Coincidentally 1 B rotates counterclockwise, since it says "-6.9" days in the System Map. Am I wrong about this one? If not, I find it interesting.

Why is it not working to put that picture itself in...

yeah more and more point to Insectoids.

The Lore states, in sub-article: Culture 07: 7 – "This data does not paint a bright picture of the Guardians culture at the point it was recorded. As I examined the data in this beta pattern and crossed references from other data I have recieved, I have learned that the truth wasn’t quite so clear cut. The information I’ve extracted regarding their legal system indicates a stable and mature society. Given the physical similarities between us and them, I’m amazed at the cultural and societal differences and the speed at which they rose to become part of their lives."

The underlined means humanoid, not insectoid.

Similar is not "the same". Also, no texts indicates biped or quadruped. The physical similarities Ram Tah mentions, might be anything.

True, but if whales and dogs were sapient you probably wouldn't be surprised about their cultural differences despite the fact they are both mammals.

Guys, this MUST be a clue.

I totally agree that this is a clue.. the whole site is based on geometric shapes, and i guess the obelisks have to be activated in a specific order which represents also a geometric shape..

already trying stuff, but no success yet...
