I hate all the factions playerbases, I hate most player groups and I hate most of the sides in the forum debates (PvP/PvE etc).

I support the Thargoids and I'm disappointed there is no option for those, you'll be in the first billion to die when the overlords take over ;) They don't care about your faction or your groups... Oh and they don't care about open/pg/solo, they'll kill you everywhere... :D

Pls add a "no decision made" because I will join a force but I have to get into the lore and the history of each Power to decide ;)

First thing I did when the bubble/pill was no more was get out of Federation space and to the first Imperial system I could find. Just always seemed like the right place for me.

Alliance guy, but stay on friendly terms with the Feds and the Empire, will work for either of them or an independent if they pay well enough. If it comes down to a choice between two factions offering about the same pay rate then I'll support the Alliance over others, I'll support an independent over Fed or Empire unless other considerations around exactly what they are asking me to do tips the scales.

Enemies are bad for business, so I try not to make too many.

Unfortunately, at this time there is no evidence that these Thargoids actually exist. Therefore, they were not included on the poll.

Also apparently my spell checker does not exist, and so that too was unfortunately not included on the poll.

If you wish to appeal this decision, please send me a check for £50, made out to "Ivor Rob Ubigtime", and I will set the political wheels in motion.

Regards

Spell checker doesn't like FD forum thread titles or Poll options! .. I call shenanigans !

I'm Imperial because democracy is just a popularity contest and sleaze bags that are usually being black mailed are chosen to represent us.

An Emperor on the other hand is an Alpha and hopefully capable of compassion. Strong leadership of a benevolent tyrant (Plato recommended them) is far more appealing than two faced sell outs.

Empire, of course. Where the slave trade is free to prosper, and they also have the way better looking ships. I have no idea what onionhead you Feds have been smoking, but actually LOOK at your ships some time. I'll take the Eagle, Courier, Clipper and Cutter any day of the week.

(hides the fact that I may have a few fed ships secreted away in as yet unnamed secret Empire shipyards, purely for tech "research" needs and occasional joyrides)

Independent. Federation is just a bunch of mega-corporations arguing all the time. Empire is a dictatorship, and have sticks so far up their [REDACTED]. Alliance is lost in its own dream world.

I answer to no man. My loyalty is only to highest bidder. I am not a complete mercenary though. There are some jobs I will turn down, regardless of the offer.

I may have my own cynical views of each of the factions, but I will work for any of them, if the mission and the pay is right.

Mercenary's like you are heartless fighters. Weak cowards that serve themselves The Imperials fight like the angels that kicked Satan's armies from heaven. Formidable belief and faith to our Emperor and god. You cannot win against a foe like that.

I am a equal-opportunity abuser. Do note how there are jobs I won't take, and there are clients I won't work for. I am neither an enemy nor friend of any of the superpowers. If you have the creds, you can hire me. Naturally, any mission I deem too risky/immoral/unethical is subject to me walking away. Like I said, not a total mercenary.

No gods or kings, only man. I believe in doubting all belief (including this one). I believe in questioning everything. No one is infallible, whether they are a president, prime minister, emperor, or pilot. When the big three fight over a system, that is where you will not find me. I don't care for politics. I go where I please and do the jobs I want. You call me weak and cowardly for daring to peek behind the curtain? I dare to read between the lines, and form my own conclusions based on evidence, not just what some politician told me to think.

I trust no one and almost nothing. Faith is for the simple-minded and the ignorant.

And thank you for proving my point about the empire. Such arrogance.

I like the empire except their design aesthetic, its a shame they are so goofy space utopia sleek. Core dynamics just knows how to make a good ship. Would have been really fun to go clappy mc space burger, but space feudalism makes a lot more sense.

None of the options are perfect (which is a very good thing for a believable universe), but all things considered the Empire is a clear winner for me. The fact that Gutamaya produces ships suitable for everything I want to do doesn't hurt either.

Independent freelancer here. I'll lend my services to any faction or super power as long as they pay well.

Having been a basker for a brief period of time, I've seen the good and the bad that comes with Imperial duty and I can say that being an Independent pilot is so much more rewarding than serving the needs of one specific power or faction.

I've had the privilege of aiding the beginning stages of expansion into new star systems and to nurture them into thriving economies. I've helped topple controlling factions in countless wars and watched as the sparks of revolution began to fly in numerous more.

Having the independence to do all these things, and under no one's direct authority does not make one heartless or a coward, this makes them a visionary.
