So you want to know about the Formidine Rift? (Part 3)

I blame the 34th Century education system. Considering all the constant mistakes in Galnet (especially in the early days), mission text and NPC quotes, misspellings are accepted as the "Norm" in 3302. And think about it: why wouldn't they be? Look at common communication on Facebook and Twitter in the 21st century. Things are bound to get worse :)

Your probly rite. Wot? oh.

Hi, I'm about to head back towards the rift after a while back in the bubble. There are a lot of posts I don't have time to skim through! Can someone explain to me what it is I should be looking for now and where I should be heading? Thanks!

I have this terrible paranoid feeling that eyeballing with the debug camera is causing me to possibly miss vital clues, like certain stuff wont spawn in when im using it. Someone tell me im just a little space mad? :)

Mmm, and how do you check your bearing when in debug mode? Flying blindly, are we? :) Best is to go and check on existing site, just in case, you are probably only one jump away :)

In search mode atm on EAFOTS RA-G B11-0 3, just picking sites that look interesting and crusing over them at 5-6km.

I've decided to get more involved in this, beyond just reading :) I've decided to head for the Conflux area, just because it's closest to where I am at the moment (Colonia).

Based on my understanding of what's going on, I've plotted out my path to PRU AESCS TY-J A64-1, to help with the search.

However, it's entirely possible that I've not really understood what's needed, even though I've scoured this thread.

So could any of you perhaps confirm that I'm headed for an area that needs Commanders to join the search?

Any tips or hints would also be very much appreciated. I'm pretty new to all this (but not to the game).

Thanks!

Short story :

We have 3 regions of space where we can find abondoned planetary outposts: Formidine Rift (EAFOTS) , Conflux, Hawking's Gap.
We know which systems to search thanks to beacons founded during CG. There are 4 beacons in Rift 4 in Hawking's gap and 3 in Conflux.
You can find details here:
https://trello.com/b/DCTJoy8T/cor-rift-hawkin-s-and-conflux-ucbs

Theory for now is: every system with beacon has its outpost somewhere on landable planet. You can find it flying in normal space over planet surface below 10 km altitude.

I think Conflux has smallest number of pilots

Count me in. I just came from Colonia, currently surveying PRU AESCS NC-M D7 192 A3a (the other one with a Comm Beacon, but no settlement found yet). None here, neither open or moebius.
