Does this mean some info is exclusive to open? Hope this isn't the case, but it wouldn't surprise me if FD did stoop so low as to alienate solo players. :)

don't think so ... didn't you see MB's post? there is a bug that open/pg reveal more scan-data than it should to players. So solo is the way to go for now... to solve the thing (as its not bugged). I guess the open/pg players received the data where we are suppose to get them on other ruin sites.

The behavior for solo sounds correct, but the open situation sounds like it's revealing more than it should. We'll look into it, but I don't think you're missing anything that should be able to access.

Michael

Ok so given this Michael... if we were not suppose to find this site by the trailer alone. How are we ever gonna find the answer at this site that leads us to the next one... there is really no obvious clues. I will suspect as i have all along from the data from this site there has to be at least one more site on this moon... I suspect north but i have drive to the exact polar north coordinates and scoured the area for an hour and never found anything there. So the next question i wonder is maybe i went to far north... is this polar north or not that they were talking about a north clan? Is this the first site or the second site in the set of maybe 3 sites. We could have totaly missed the first one which would have led us here before we head to the third. IDK i believe the first site is north of here some where over a "great divide" Maybe a ravine like there are plenty of around this site..

Just a thought, those talking about searching north, I'm no mathematician or astronomer, but given the rotation angle of this planet, north is not going to be 0 degrees?

Cheers sir. I didn't see the post tbh. My post was a tad hyperbolic, but my pills are now working and I don't feel as pessimistic! ;)

My concern with looking north is that we have to assume this is their home planet and not a landing site for an Ark or later expansion. The data talks about Air Ships being the primary vehicle for a long time, but this planet has no atmosphere, so it makes me think this is an outpost, landing site, etc.

the great divide refers to their home-world, prior to the northern clan unifying the race and delveloping space travel (as far as I understand the messages).
Nevertheless, Ur right, a full mapping of this potatoe (PLANET) is highly to recommend.
I noticed that around the current site in distance 1-2 degrees longitude / lattitude there is an enhanced number of randow POIs, mybe we can use this as a pointer where to look around the planet? My guess is we´ll find another 3 sites on this body , distributed as a pyramid build of triangles, so after discovery of second one, number 3 & 4 will be a pice of cake...

right we need to determine in which heading to go... I have searched the exact northern coordinates with no luck... 31.7697 -128.9295 would be the exact location in the northern hemisphere. So if thats not it would it be any where along that -128.9295? or could it be that the stem is a pointer.. and points the direction in which to head to get to the ruins... i mean eventually you would come to a different northern coordinates than the ones above...

A question folks, if I would go north from ruins, which cap have I to follow?
I want to draw some lines referring to the directions on the planet and see if I can find something interesting

I agree it could just be an outpost, but the thinking here is the network relay, I'm thinking it takes 3 of these for the network to function, if there are two others on this planet, perhaps they need to be found.

Has anyone seen the ruins pop up as a POI? Cause the only way I know to spot the ruins is by flying 4km or lower and looking for lots of black dots. Even then its really easy to over look.

nope - the problem is that with one ref-point only (the known site) U can rotate the triangular pyramide as U like....
the assuption would be though that the other 3 sites are on a circle 120° equidistant to the site...

Another thing i want to point out is the smaller platform i think is the moon in relation to the current one we are on... so if your on platform A does the moon ever line up with the platform F and if so is that the exact direction to the next site on the other moon? If so has anyone flow a straight shot to that moon at that time? I mean they say great divide was this before or after they got space travel? If they used sling shot style propulsion to reach space then early explorers would not be able to travel far.. and that moon is pretty close and almost prime for them to go to first...

I tend to agree with this. The gravity is pretty low, it would be hard to conceive that it could counteract vapour pressure so I doubt it ever had an atmosphere. Plus if it was the home planet I would expect to see ruins everywhere.

put ur garphic settings to ultra, disable blurr and bloom, terrain texture quality to low, flight altitude ~6 km - that way U cover +/- 1° lattitude/longitude and fly a mesh pattern of 2 ° equidistance.

Is anything significant located within the ruins along the line of 31.4159 perchance?

Yes but remember they had advanced shield technology... Who is to say that those shields did not counter act these issues. Thus making it a perfectly habitable place... I will mention the more i think of the 4 beacons... We are talking 3 to maybe 4 total sites... What if they are the markers. Platform A being this site... Platform F being another site one outside the wall another and one next to the pyramid yet another site?

Do you know if it's true that you can hand in the data that you have, get the reward, and then reclaim the mission again to rescan the same data entries over and over again? It's a rumour going around and I'd rather it be confirmed before I try it and then can't get the mission again.

I can confirm that once you hand in and get your reward, you can get the mission again. I have seen other people say they have been able to go back to the site, get confirmation of the scans via the reward, but haven't been given the data entries again, and been able to hand it in more than once.
