Is the wreckage persistent? IE, if you log out of the game and then log back in, does the wreckage remain? It's a LOT more interesting if it does...looks fairly similar to the wreckage on Thoth 1A. Maybe it'd be worth searching Thoth some more if this is persistent wreckage?

. No its not. I didn't even know about items being "persistent"
Sorry to waste your time.

If there is one thing I have learned in my 57 years on this Earth, life can be tough at times and you only get out what you put in. I will not be spoon feeding you with system details at this time for 2 reasons:
1. To allow those that want too, the chance to experience this element of game content and discover the location themselves. You have all the info you need.
2. If there are ruins in this system I openly admit I would like to discover them myself after all the effort I have put, purely for personal satisfaction. I don't expect or want any thanks or praise.

No, all you're are doing is teasing, whether you have anything is another question, if indeed you do have something but didn't want to share it, then you should have said nothing in the first place, like I said, you give the impression of teasing, this is supposed to be a community, nearly everyone in this thread has provided something to help others, you've obfuscated.

Don't get too excited but I have found some wreckage on this planet. Relatively close to the Ruins.
I couldn't work out what the wreckage was from. There was a cargo rack there, but it just had a piece of tungsten in it.
Its probably nothing to do with anything but because its on the planet and nearby, I thought I would share.

The Imgr link takes you to the album (I hope) and you will be able to see the co-ords there, just so you know I am not sending you to some random place for a laugh.

Look's like the same crash assets on Thoth A1!!!

I have not been seeking or expected "a friendly pat on the head". Being a non-Facebook/ Twitter user and seldom forum reader I have no concept of trolling. I have made my posts to try and help further the understanding of the ruins, nothing else.

regarding the craters discovered, I have found a number of bodies containing them in this system. They all have mountains at the center and the sound of the ruins increase as you approach the top of the mountain (think radio telescope focal point). I won't be posting audio as it took me long enough to work out how to set up imgur and post images, I don't have the time and there is a pint of Guiness waiting with my name on it.

I wish all those who appreciate the info provided a pleasant weekend and fruitful exploring.

+Rep cmdr. You are playing the game as you want to. Some players, like myself read this thread to help give me ideas to solve puzzles & read up on other cmdr's idea's & info that they provide.
Some cmdr's aren't as forth coming with info & like to problem solve alone & give others limited info. If that upsets other players, then so be it. I personally am not one of those upset cmdrs.

lol, stop trolling please :)

Just stop answering him. Unless he posts something worthwhile other than "I solved the puzzle, I have found craters but I'm not gonna tell you where" there is no reason to answer him anymore.
If after the CG we get coordinates to new ruins and they happen to be in a system 200 LS away (as he claimed where he was) then I might be inclined to listening to him next time even if he doesn't provide us with any valuable information.

I think the community goal means that this puzzle require the other sites to be found to be solved. It be nice to find them before the end of the community goal and frontier give us the answer.

It clear frontier want this solve on schedule, wonder why :D

Explorer to scientists: we've discovered something incredible!

Scientists to explorer: Where?

Explorer to scientist: more satisfying if you work out for yourselves :p

So I just got the Elite Newsletter, and saw the section on "RAM TAH APPEALS FOR ANCIENT DATA" that reads (emphasis mine):

Ram Tah in association with United Meene Labour has issued an appeal for the following obelisk data types Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Epsilon from the site to aid him in locating other sites as part of an ongoing research project. The organisation has promised to reward pilots who deliver this data to Felice Dock in the Meene system.

So if this is accurate, we do NOT need to find other sites YET. With the note from Michael that open is showing more than it should, it looks like we are just having problems figuring out how to get more obelisks to activate and be scannable. A specific order, perhaps?

Seems to me this CG should have come before the other non-CG CG to deliver the deciphered data. In that quest Ram Tah says to visit as many sites as we can, as if we knew there were multiple sites. Its all backwards.

I think they deactivated the hand-in of the incomplete mission, I tried it this morning to reset my findings and start over again in Solo, but I couldnt hand it in, I had to abandon it.

The CG is a total different story, it goes for Alpha-Epsilon-Data - that´s what you get anyway during scanning of the obelisks.

This has happened to other CMDRs in the last few days. If you take the mission from Phoenix Base it seems to be impossible to hand in (most likely bugged).

Were you able to re-take the mission though?

I'm sitting on this rock in my SRV, I've collected a lot of what RAM TAH now wants, but I am unable to find the enthusiasm to continue, I was already at 50% with the data I already had on board, but now I don't even feel like I want to make the journey to Meene, if I continue, I know I have to return to this rock and go through the whole process of planet entry and lining up the coords as near possible so I don't have to spend an age in normal thrust getting to the site, if it was truly interesting this would not be an issue, but it's another grind compounded by finding the ruins each time.

The most disturbing thing I found about ruins layout is that they feel awfully familiar from the moment I saw them, as if already seeing it somewhere (note, I havent watched trailers, videos or anything with "old" layout etc). Maybe I am just going senile....

Well, nobody forces you to grind. I just turned in data, and going to sit and wait untill either CG is completed, or timer runs out. As you said, now its just another boring grind, and there are better things to spend time on. Actually, that would be a good description for the whole ED I think...

The ruins are known, I think a couple of novices somewhere in the SOL system don't know yet, RAM should have dropped a beacon on the ruins by now.

Would be good to know the system name - I've been looking around Barnard's Loop and just tried recreating the VV Orionis (Permit locked ) to EZ Orionis trip without luck (my route planner didn't even hit any Barnard's Loop systems, though if it's now locked I guess that makes some sense). Back to collection $$$ scanning in the loop!

your going the wrong direction, from ez to vv outwards beyond the loop into the region that hosts barnards loop system names, il be on in an hour to screenshot the system name in my galmap but it is permit locked now
