No, it was beyond the perimeter as bacon-2

Do you have any link to this "first map" you mean with obelisks outside of the ruin borders? I think there are only 2 designs we know of, the one before and the one after patch 2.2.03 but on both all obelisks are within the perimeter.

Last 4 days I read a lot, and now I can not find.
It seems there is even a shadow of the ship in the right corner

GUYS!

If this hasn't been thought of before, I could use some help - I heard when you want to go to the "opposite" side of the planet, you just add 180 to the co-ords - I'm not sure though, but please can someone help me with working out the co-ords for the picture I did below?

I've just tried to use notepad and a calculator to do it, but I don't think I'm doing it right:

-31.7877 -128.9711 (ruins we know of)

148.2123(+) 51.0289(+) (2nd ruins)

148.2123(+) -51.0289(-) (3rd ruins)

EDIT: Longitude won't go past 91.1xxx'ish... :/

They're not even all within the perimeter on the current map.

My exact hipotesis... tho i was folowing the oposite direction, following the ramp as a runway. I see yours makes more sense. My respect for you ^^

Same problem with the coords... im horrible at math and i suspect this one is tricky even for someone used to maths.

As soon as the coords are worked out ill fly recon also. Counting that FD have indeed made the other sites viable, there is the posibility that they are not even there yet till the CG is completed.

The behaviour for solo sounds correct, but the open situation sounds like it's revealing more than it should. We'll look into it, but I don't think you're missing anything that should be able to access.

Michael

With what he said, would the geometric location of the obelisks that are active when Solo be the key for the next destinations?

Sorry, if it was brought up before - but I havn't the time to catch up on is atm.

So has it been confirmed that FD essentially fixed the duplicate mission rewards by releasing a cg then not allowing you to turn in your mission?

Okay, I'm going to try these co-ords - adding 180 doesn't work on this planet. I've settled for 90, as longitude won't go past 90, and probably resets and -90 (so would make 180, I guess)

58.2123(+90long) 38.9711(+lat)

58.2123(+90long) -38.9711(-lat)

The first one is probably most accurate if anyone wants something to do, I'm going to look in solo as already around the planet.

These calculations may be out by 1% or 2% because of margin of error; keep a sharp eye out and check the extra 1 or 2 long/lat numbers.

Longitude goes from -90 to +90, 0 being the equator. Latitude goes all around the planet so -180 to +180. For the exact opposite coordinate change + to - or vice versa on longitude and add or subtract 180 for latitude.

So that would be the ones that were there on the old version of the site (and the old maps). A set of 3 and a set of 10 IIRC.

I am not sure what you mean with a set of 3 and a set of 10. But group G was a group of 18 obelisks build buy 3 rows of 6 obelisks each. On the post-patch ruins they essentially doubled to 2 sets of 18 obelisks each.
It's not what the other poster meant though, he was talking about triangle shaped obelisks near beacon 2.

Good work, I'm also checking now :)

I like this theory... seems very logical... i have stared at that center platform for a long time wondering if it is the key

So it could give us a "line" to follow . I can do the maths but i won't be able to find the direction . If anyone can help
follow me :D
find two points by rotating equilateral triangle around planet center. After this just draw imaginary line between two unknown points :D

It's alright, someone's put a post up on the previous page with a photo that shows them! ;)

Right. I thought another one. Probably this one here, where the red part indicates where the SRV was in the trailer.

It's the two triangular groups outside of the perimeter directly down from the large circular platform in that image.

The old maps are all in a section on the ruins further down the front page than the current info.
