The Cannon Creation reward system is broken.

Should FT reward people who contribute to cannon/game mechanics by opening up a life long membership

I would like to say that I like the direction of players contributing experience and FT listening and then responding. Whats happened though is that FT can seem like its letting other people do their job. Now I think that the idea of FT taking gamer's experience and building cannon around them is fine but there is point where you are using an idea. Idea's do have value. If this is something that is going to drive the game i think it is important to reward that. Plus I think allot of casual players like my self that maybe play allot only on long weekends and off days could be more enthusiastic to contribute if our cost of playing in the future was lower. That's why i think everyone will agree that if someone contributes something that actually becomes cannon or game play then the person should get the opportunity to buy a life long licenses. Personally I think FT should give $30 store credit for any great Ideas after that but that's me as i think it would spur community growth. Please vote in the poll!

Fron Tier? [weird]

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the meta, social media style "community" game-play myself, in general. There have been some exceptions.

Oh well. I'll just keep on keeping on and hear about what's going on in the game from YouTube. :p To be fair, I hear about most of it on the forums first.

But to answer the question, no thanks.

I wouldn't mind if they sold lifetime passes again, but it would probably make more sense to make them available when announcing another season like they did when announcing Horizons.

I'm not against 3rd parties helping to develop the vision for the game. But I don't think the game should rely on it either. Credit it's fine, but the important stuff needs to be available within the game to everyone. 3rd party apps and 3rd party lore needs to be filtered for quality and safety.

I would be grateful just to have some open official threads on what we as players want for different specific aspects of the game.

With this input they could get some inspiration and feel out what might be a middle ground for the player base to start building the foundations of game elements.

I started this thread because I ran into one of the huge problems of game play recently. I was vaped after 100s of hours or game time going out to colonia. Its clear open play is not working for PVE and PVE in open play is a none thing because the pirates can ruin hours of game time in seconds. big efforts by players like flying out to colonial can be snatched away in just a few seconds. FT hasn't given a solution to players for this. I can think of 100's of things we could do both to build cannon to engage players to get open more PVE frindly and make things like this not a huge waste for the PVE players any more. I remember a time when i could run around in open play and meet people constantly hitch up in a group naturally to hunt bounties and just about anything else. I want to see the game move back in that direction. Thats not going to happen unless PVE players can hedge their time sink. Truth be told Ive thought of 100's of things that could help. However I am professional I work full time I don't have the time to get into a big long Idea sharing session in forum. I feel it would be a waste of my time to expend effort trying to build some other persons dream. Now if I was a forever member the math changes now i'm contributing to a club that I will reap the benefits from for ever. I think FT always needs a path for players to get into the club. Other wise it feels like well your just a consumer an you'll get what ever product we shovel at you and like it. Or well use your input as we see fit and you can pay us for it. Neither one is a relationship i want.

Im not even talking about Meta, social media style "community" game play. that can be relegated to what ever level FT wants. But if we the players are going to contribute input then shouldn't we at least get a chance to always reap the rewards of that input. Im not even saying that the price should be what it originally was Im just saying the option should be there. I don't think that's a huge leap. They actually just auctioned one off recently for charity use that price.

I fully agree
