How Do I get Sirius permit?

And ultimately an invite for Qwent, I am currently running Sirius Corp missions from Luyten's Star, and got Friendly with Sirius last night, but nothing seems to have changed?

I went to Avik, got allied with Sirius corp and eventually got the permit. Haven't been to the engineer.

I did it by trading in the cutter 4/5 1 jump runs and I was allied, just make sure they are the controlling faction in whatever system you are selling to there's a few around Sirius,

Did this happen recently? A few months ago they only controlled 1 system which only had a single outpost in it. They didn't even control Sirius itself.

Yeah finding a system to make this work is not that practical, I ran some missions out of Luytens Star this morning which was a bit of a grind as they were only offering missions where I had to get commodities for them. And Now I'm running out of Davy Dock in Procyon which is also a pain in the balls as it is like 10K ls into the system!!

- for the PERMIT to SIRIUS it is allied. the permit mission is only given out around sirius system

- for the ENGINEER INVITATION MISSION it is friendly. the engineer invitation mission is only given out IN the sirius system itself.

get allied -> do permit mission, get permit -> go to sirius -> do engineer invitation mission

This, and i got my Permit in Procyon. Sirius is a lot more then just Sothis.

was a while ago, just checked eddb and they only control 3 systems now, I sure it used to be more, looks like the only place to do it via trading with a large ship will be via Cormack hub, long journey but might still be faster than missions, personally I didn't have much luck with missions one or 2 at a time so I just started trading instead

I did missions out of Procyon, which suuuccckkked. It took 3 or 4 days of serious grinding to get there, then a few hours of modern switching to get the permit acquisition mission to pop up.

I just stacked some passenger missions and cargo sourcing missions for those heatsink datalinks or whatever. Bought like 200 of them and refreshed the boards because that's what it kept giving missions to source with. Took like 2 hours tops in Procyon.
