So this game now feels like a big free for all, Shoot when you want, where you want, and how you want. I hate buying a new ship and not even leaving the damn station and some pc ass hat blows me up inside the stations just as i'm heading out of the docking port. Seems like there was not consequence for that player or any other ones.
Same thing later happens again but this time i'm outside the docking I was only 5 km away from the station not in any one's way going though my navigation list to see where i wanted to go. and some pc guy just shots me up again. Seems from some youtube videos these people aren't getting any sort of bounty or actions against them.

it's Just case after case of being shot by pc in area that should have high security.

I like this game but i'm sick of being in a sidewinder always getting ambushed by another player outside a station or in an area where the player that attacked me is green.
It feels like the game is just a massive free for all.

I like to pvp i also like to enjoy the game on days i don't want to pvp.
It feels like EvE only your in a cockpit and your always in low/null sec for those who don't play eve this is the area of the game that is not policed and it's a massive free for all you can shot any here here even your own corp members.

I can't seem to make any progress in the game because i'm always being shot up by other pc every where i go in the game.

The game is null-sec in cockpits, pretty much. Actually i'd say low sec because there is turrets on the stations.

Eventually there will be police, navies and bounties as well as other things, high sec etc...

It may be that - but it will never be Eve in cockpits.

It would just be such a waste if that came to be.

As you mentioned yourself, this "game" is not the final release. In fact, its not even close to the final release, and you can be sure that come release, there will be much better balance between risk and reward.

Crying about a refund is childish though, if your that kind of person you shouldnt be preordering games at all.

Why not make an offer for anyone who is willing to escort your hauler or whatever the trading ship u fancy by paying him in scoopable cargo ?

Make an offer on this forum, someone surelly will want to grab that job, you know game immersion ...

It's not a game it's a test phase.

When it becomes a game the protection you require will be there and more.

Until then, enjoy testing or wait for an update that includes security.

The main problem is that there are thousands of players in a small space. So, the instance are saturated. The laws also are not fully operational now. With the standard beta or the gamma, the things should change

Take a break. Dont spoil yourself, IF u r not into testing.
But for testing purposes, you should just play, exploit as much, Report, submit tickets and make the Game as it is mentioned, but pls, dont complain. It does not help.

Well, last night I tested having my default sidewinder with pewpew immediately jumped and obliterated by cobras as soon as I entered any zone where I had any chance of making any money to buy anything to add to my default sidewinder with pewpew.

Twice.

Ctrl_Alt_Del --> End task.

Once they let us out of this tiny wee fish tank and you have a chance of doing anything in the starter gear apart from watching the pretty sights, then I will come back I reckon. Until then, its too damn frustrating. All I can test is the time it takes for another human commander to clock and destroy me. That's about 15 seconds. I'm sure its a blast if you have expensive toys, but now its much harder to get anything. Its got a LOT worse in the last week.

Anyone about to say "you're doing it wrong" who isn't in a sidewinder with one pulse laser then please remember to check your condescension filters :D

The lawless, vulnerable-to-expoits hell that is early Beta is nothing like the plans for the finished game. The antisocial types are having it all their way right now, but that will change in a few months.

Oh for sure. This beta is turning into an interesting social experiment displaying eerily similar symptoms of the "Stanford Prison Experiment".

If the only way to make any progress is to harm your fellow men, then............

I'm pretty sure FD aren't beta testing human nature but there's the potential for a good psychology paper here. For me, I will return once the single player mode is up for testing or there's more room to escape the bored rich kids in their quad gimballed death machines.

(a full-credit / ship wipe on next beta release would give us slow starters a fighting chance in the shark infested fish tank. Just saying)

This is weird, I think I've been attacked by a random PC once in my entire time with the beta, and its a lot of hours. Where are these people griefing exactly?

The major down side of all this is not the regrettable balancing towards the gun happy. Or the people who are getting de-shipped in space when they just want to pootle around looking at the vistas.

It's the press. Letting the press into a game when it's this raw is a dangerous (no pun intendid) move. There are people who are looking for anything to hang a "this is crap" label on. Currently, the hook is being handed to them on a platter.

This P.R. can of worms needs some damage limitation applied to it. As a matter of some urgency.

When we see a squadron of AI vipers pouring out of a station to defend legitimate traffic that will be a day!.....assuming they can transit the station entrance with all the 'L' plate drivers bumbling about :)

...er I remember in the original Elite I used to bait vipers as I had a fully tooled up ship not my current robin reliant. ******. I was a griefer before the term existed! :eek:

Okay, so they need working station vipers AND NPC bounty hunters AND make it harder just to cough up the station fee and clear your criminal record once you've had your fun player killing.
