Also, don't reject the possibility that the original site may have info encoded in its layout helping to narrow the search once you get to the new places.

I'm 900ly away from the closest system. But I'm heading straight for Synuefe XO-P c22-17, that seems a likely candidate to me. Planet with a moon there that I want to take a look at.

So over 50 planets to search... and no tools to aid...

I'd like to know if the player base even had a chance of figuring out where the other Alien Ruins may be? And as Rm Tah had all the same information as the players then how come he was able to create a shortlist of possible locations but the players probably had no chance at all?

I bet when we find them the clues will be clearer. Bit like crossword puzzles, you just need to get into the other guys head.

Because, like me, he is sat at home with his slippers on, feet up, drinking coffee and eating biscuits, and watching the fun from a distance!

Well, if we find another site someone may be able to work back and see if there were indeed any clues in the original. As for ram tah, he has a 33rd century computer to analyse data we sent :p

Lets hope when we find the next Ruins, someone smart will go "Ah, how did we miss that big clue?"

I really hope we don't find any new sites too quickly. FDev will just use it as an excuse to not add in the much needed exploration features. :(

Probably people have thought of this already, but going to same locations on the suspected likely planet candidates as the current Ruins we know of may be useful, it'll eliminate that possibility of it anyway. Also any huge craters should be checked out. Reverse planetary coordinates.
