Sitting at exactly -43.0851,-43.7350 on IC 2391 Sector ZE-A D101 B1 . Waiting for video to upload of the singing. Going to land for better one. Anyone else in this area that can come verify?

Well, there's definitely something wrong going on here. I was writing the above message when this happened. I was scouting the surface of this planet and I got pushed high and I got the following message.

Now the drop zone in the planet is as high as 82km. Look at the ¿structure? in the first screenshot, right in the middle of the crosshair.

Tried relogging to check if it was a bug but I keep getting kicked off the planet.

Are we up to something or everything just bugged?

Think that must Be a bug, it let me land with no issues.

I was in a different system but I'm on my way to check it out. I am still not convinced that this "singing" isn't just random background sounds which sometimes happen but lets see.

Just got there myself. Not getting a permit warning. Ambient sounds seem different, but I see nothing in the near vicinity from the ground or from 10 km up

I can't land anymore, no matter how far I go away from that exclusion zone. I jumped out and back in and will try again and see what happens.

It's right above the yellow square. Of course it could be nothing and just shadows playing tricks, but that's the first thing that caught my eye.

that does look like the ruins, possibly i can make what looks to be it but at the same time it could just be formations that look similar. I was just about to head out that way and that planet is marked on my list as the best candidate in that system. Hopefully you can get this sorted soon!

Does anyone know if XDeath heard the ruins before actually spotting them?

I would love to flick back through whichever thread its in to find out... but... nah.

He never needed to, I think. I could clearly see the ruins from orbital cruise the day of the discovery, and I imagine he could, too. Now you cant, so the sound matters more.

Now that I think of it, I recall lots of people reporting strange sounds at the ruins (and also Merope 5c) and they were getting blown off. Hell, Ive been using the sound to locate the ruins for months now, because I cant see anything on the dark side of a planet in VR.

is it possible the ruins are on planets that are always facing the same way no matter the orbit? has anyone checked this?
cause the the first ruins are on a planet that has an axis tilt of 94º and is reverse tidally locked to its main body which means it is always facing the same piece of sky no matter where it is in its orbit.

I've only visited IC 2391 Sector GW-V b2-4 and there is only one planet, the one furthest away, that has an orbit that would make it always face in the same area of the sky. can someone confirm by checking the rotational periods, inclination, axial tilt and orbital period, if there is a planet in the other systems where this happens too?

For me, low graphics settings make the ruins show up better from a distance, especially Terrain Material Quality. Try messing with low settings to make the ruins pop out a bit more. I was having a hell of a time from more than 7 km with max settings at 2,560 x 1,440. Now I can make them out from at least 20km or more.

Edit: This is in the sunlight, IDK how it will work on the dark side

So right now on synuefe xo p c22 17 d1 if you are at roughly -28 -66 and look at the closest star, you get a view kinda similar to the known ruins.

Would post screenshot but my xbox's dvr isn't working
