Staring at the two ruin layouts for a bit I've come to a conclusion; the layout and position of everything, even the artifacts must have meaning, or else why would FD take the time to reorient them?

Instead of this brute force tactic, i think we should focus on what possible meanings these positions could have.

Also, note the beacons did not move thus probably are licational, as FD never moved them, only changed the order we would be directed to find them.

I agree with your idea that the changes could be important, but woult point out the beacons did move (several). Also the items, also many of the obelisks.

Still on Synuefe XO-P c22-17 C2 been exploring the latitude and longitude of around 40-50 and 130-150 ish. Had a few high level scans on my srv but ended up just being some escape pods and crashed ships carrying liqour lol. The system with the original ruins are still above me and now barnards loop is just above the horizon, this area of the planet seems to be very flat so hoping something comes up soon. For commanders on the PC remember you can press CTRL+ALT+G to turn off the hud making it so the side panels don't get in your way, not sure if possible on the Xbox or what the bind is if it you are able to.

Right, my thought on suitable candidates is going off of the original site. So i'd probably start with tidally locked bodies, rocky worlds with around 300-500k temps, around 80-90% rock and the rest metal with canyons of discoloration or very prominent features. Once those get exhausted then move on to the less likely candidates

So you agree on C3, excellent! Carry on CMDR o7

If we will know the ratio of r1 and r2, we can understand the right mix of this map. Is it sun\planet or planet\moon.

Just realized that Synuefe 119 doesn't have any planets with moons so we can at least eliminate the fact that it need to have a moon, however there are quite a bit of co-orbital bodies so perhaps that is a factor, has to have a partner and not just be a singular planet.

Alright, it seems that things are starting to move, so I will head back to the bubble and get a fast ship for fast surface flight. All my ships are either too slow or dont have the optionals to fit exploration. What's a good bet? Cobra for raw speed or Keelback with a fighter bay? Can you dismiss away the mothership from the fighter the same way you dismiss it from the SRV?

Sorry for the offtopic.

Meaning they all HAVE to reference directions on locations as they were only moved because xdeath skipped steps

Does not follow - assuming that each site points to the other 4 then nothing changes because they're found out of order. Even if each site points to the 'next' site there is no issue with finding the 'wrong' one, as you just start the search from a different place. I guess if the layout was a placeholder, then unexpectedly found, and then updated to point to somewhere .... I could believe that, but in that case the old ruins are meaningless, as they were a placeholder.

I'm obviously not seeing what you believe we can get from the changes - why do you think they changed what the site was pointing to?

the fighter needs to stay close to the main ship. around 30 ish i think. I'm using it just because it has a better view out the window. that and its faster to dive down on stuff or have fun in canyons while looking.

I just got a message from FD Support. They've added a mission board to Ram Tah's base (Phoenix Base) in Meene, just so those who received the mission when docking there can actually turn it in.

That might account for some of the server restarts yesterday.

Just posting for anyone else who was stuck like me and unable to turn in the quest.

Once I do that, I'm going to sit on the sidelines. I've had more than enough of stupidly flying over bare landscapes hoping to see an out-of-place pixel or two.

Good luck to those who continue with this farce, though. You have way more patience than I do.

Not offtopic - I've been wondering what ship is fastest for surface scanning - from specs it looks like a stock viper:eek: - but my aspe gets more than that. Not sure I'd want to fit out a viper for exploration :)

So we're now supposed to scour hundreds of thousands of square kilometres on around 50 different bodies for an unknown number of additional ruins in four different systems with no exploration tools. What a joke.

Hundreds of thousands? Make that several million.

Out in the rift at the moment, one of the twelve planets that supposedly have bases on them as part of the rift/conflux/hawking's gap mystery has a surface area of over 100 million square kilometres. That's one planet.

If I recall correctly someone said that just one of the four systems that Ram Tah gave out has 26 landable bodies?

Yeah. Either FDev are basically trolling you guys, or this is going to be (yet) another breadcrumb trail/wait for a GC for more exciting research updates from the boy Ram.

Oh and more spreadsheets of course, the cornerstone of immersive space gameplay :D
