Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

Contrary to how I have been coming off today, I enjoy seeing the speculation and thoughts people have here. There are clearly many very intelligent and creative people working on this. It is perfectly fine for people to keep going down the rabbit holes. My issue is that as I have watched all of this unfold it is becoming increasingly evident that this is likely not something that can be figured out using the scientific method, of which a theory is the pinnacle. It seems increasingly likely that rather than a mystery we are meant to solve, we are seeing a story being told, with new chapters being given to us in the form of Galnet articles, missions, and community goals.

I think if the latest announcement by Ram was meant for anything beyond just a storied announcement, perhaps he would have given some insight into his method of divining the few likely systems. So I am left wanting to ask him how in the hell did he figure these ones out as candidates? What line of reasoning led him there? How can we as participants progress on down that line? Build upon his discoveries?

All good, I am just responding with quips because I have nothing intelligent to add.

Maybe, but we know they colonized a lot of planets so why would they bother to construct ruins with robots on planets they didn't live on ? [wacko]

They had an Intergalactic Information Network. Surely they were able to use suits that withstand a few degrees over 100 if the Planet suited their needs...or shields or whatever. One Datapoint even sais something about City wide Shields.

I don't know if anyone has said something similar as I am not fully up to date on this thread as it is moving so fast now, but the ruins on the know planet line up perfectly with the moon when it rises, so i think that we should be looking on the planets with moons along the path the moons orbit. This may also be true for binary planets. The planets that will have ruins if this is true will be:

IC 2391 Sector GW-V b2-4 : 3/4 (Binary)
IC 2391 Sector ZE-A d101 : B 3/4 (Binary) or D 5/6 (Binary) or D 3 (Moon)
Synuefe XO-P c22-17 : B 3 (Moon) or E 3 A (Moon) F 2/3 (Binary)
Synuefe ZL-J d10-119 : 1/2 (Binary) or 7 E/D (Binary)

No idea if this is correct but it is a place to look if somebody has time to look into this something might come out of this.

The ruins were build by robots. Maybe.

I just double checked it. From History 14 "the network existed before the development of AI, but it was the creation of machine intelligence, along with the development of neural implants, that brought this network into the heart of the Guardians' society"

I like this a lot.

The opposite is much more likely.

What is your explanation why rotation is important and not temperature or gravity or anything else?

Because not all planets share a common clock-wise spin :p

I'm pretty sure it mentioned somewhere that the ruins existed before they invented computers and artificial intelligence. But that's just out of my memory, I could be wrong.

You're wrong.

It's all here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ThjsXsz1N7R-JtSJsXl8w9ir8CrHui7ifHIXKwTCqfI/edit#gid=0

Okay - the Ancient Ruins are built on a planet that spins ANTI-CLOCKWISE - I'm of the personal assumption that this is important to the Guardians on location picks, and their home world may spin anti-clockwise.

After narrowing down the results in all systems, out of ALL the planets combined in ALL FOUR systems, ONLY FOUR planets have an Anti-Clockwise spin!

Further narrowing down these results, I have only picked the BEST TWO results, below:

Systems and planets matching Ancient Ruins criteria:

Synuefe XO-P C22-17 D 1

Synuefe ZL-J D10-119 11 B

The following did not make the cut:

Synuefe XO-P C22-17 AB 1 -
planet radius too large, too hot, is a High Metal content planet (not rocky), higher gravity, a lot denser.

Synuefe XO-P C22-17 AB 3
- like AB 1, very similar in all aspects - not at all similar to Synuefe Ancient Ruins.

Based on the evidence, I think Synuefe XO-P C22-17 D 1 and Synuefe ZL-J D10-119 11 B are THE BEST two candidates to search for ruins!

On your say so - Searching Synuefe XO-P C22-17 D 1 in CANONN PG

If you are wrong I should point out I have a set of unique skills.

I will find you, break into your home whilst you are asleep and force you to watch the hours of video I will record of my search : played at half speed.

(Actually I won't as you may see footage of me flying right over the top of site ! :) )

You're wrong.

What does this from History 14 mean then? "the network existed before the development of AI, but it was the creation of machine intelligence, along with the development of neural implants, that brought this network into the heart of the Guardians' society". Or does it mention somewhere that they used some kind of robots to build it? At least this part specifically says that the monolith network existed before they developed AI.

I found a Degraded emissions detected. close to the sun of IC 2391 Sector GW-V b2-4
when I came out supercruise I found a ship that had been destroyed and a Canister (Small Survey Data Cache)
its in my hold at the moment and marked as stolen.
Is this anything? Is it worth flying back to meene?

Likely not in your case here, but indeed, I expect there is a game mechanic here to provide a clue. Basically if a CMDR finds a USS which has a "unique" canister that pops a notification message, we may have something. This is where I think the next step is.... basically, if/once found, it will progress the quest and unlock the planet side ruins by likely in the notification it will tell the coordinates of the site. Otherwise a backup, within the game mechanic, will be a new CG or Galnet post where Ram will have further refined news directing to new site(s).

Its all in the existing game mechanics for where quest progress lies. No over analyzed hypothesis (though these are interesting and provide lore), but rather existing mechanic as we have seen provided thus far.

In the end, the quest will end at the timeline noted, and likely the bits will be provided in that time frame to complete, either by a lucky CMDR figuring/hitting it randomly with existing game mechanic, or FD will provide further backup clues via its controlling game mechanic which is CG and Galnet.

My Plan.... since I am out here, enjoy some of the planetary sights such as those with geysers/volcanism and stock up on some rare mineral materials, and perhaps if lucky find something in SC while traversing a given system.

A thing I tried, hoping Ram Tah or someone else would send another notification.

- Full scan of all IC 2391 Sector ZE-A D101 bodies w/ detailed surface scan
- Had the Decode the Ruins contract the entire time (w/ 13m bonus from known ruins)
- Sold exploration data to Felice Dock in Meene (263k)
- Handed in Decode the Ruins contract
- Undock/redock to get the mission again (same notification as before)
- Completely log out and log back in to Solo
- Undock/redock after logging

Unfortunately there were no new notifications.
