Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

Uh Hi I kinda want to help out but not sure how to. I got into this whole Alien Archaeology thing after my most recent expedition. I guess Ill just head out there and start searching who knows maybe Ill get lucky.

I did have a hypothesis I wanted to share, it might be stupid or someone else might have already thought of it but here goes. Since the first ruins site is around a brown dwarf star maybe the others are too, this would make sense to me as these are long lasting stars that don't tend to explode when they get old. So if I wanted to make sure my data center stayed around for a long time I might put it around one. A barren lifeless planet or moon also makes sense for similar reasons, the less geologic activity on the planet the less bad things might happen to it over long time spans. All 4 of the target systems has a brown dwarf star (or similar) in it with landable planets orbiting.

So with that in mind I'm going to start my searches on those planets.

Can it confidently be said that these could be narrowed down as far as the search. Or at least given a day or two of higher focusing to rule in or out ?

Our Soviet science does not have a precise answer to that yet :S But we have all data about the system, where the ruins were found. It is necessary to find the right relationship between the variables (radius of the planet, mass, temperature, etc). Then apply it to new systems. I do this and will check those planets.

im in the strange pickle of having nothing better to do but at the same time not really wanting to fly around a planet repeatedly. Guess planet flying it is

Greetings CMDRs I dont know if this is the right thread but its about the guardians so im part of a club known as elite dangerous club on the xbox one and about 1hr ago a cmdr by the name of ( nstor1) posted some screenshots of tree_like plants "lots of them together maybe 10+" whilst searching for the new guardian sites this is not the barnacles or the fungal life already known about but a tree_like organic structure with circular red tops and yellowish branches 'tops look like brains' the system is "IC 2391 sector ze-a d101 c" planet c3a. Coordinates are "11.4262 -48.4192" I have searched the forums and cannot find anything else like this being discussed and I am unfortunately near the core so I cant investigate myself but it seems strange that he found it in a system marked for searching. If this indeed is a first then there could be something more to this planet hope this helps..
Thankyou for your time CMDRs o7

The ejecta most likely came from impact craters over the eons. Perhaps the underlying structure is made of a different material than the obelisks and pillars, making sediment build-up easier. Without ground-penetrating radar or seismic readings, we can't say one way or the other if these are just dirt structures or not.

I first considered the idea it was all covered by volcanic dust and dirt, the only problem with this idea, is all the stuff that was not covered, that would be very selective dust.

Confirmation will be required before I set off on a 329,931.63ls trip, this event is already farcical enough without the possibility of being trolled.

Checking now. What's your friends in game name so proper credit can be given if it's new?

Random half-crazed half-baked theory time for a small private group of friends, working on the idea that the towers are significant when considering the layout of 3 of the new site locations :
2 CMDR s go to the original site, one in srv sends ship away and raises the towers, one in ship tests if this makes that ruin easier to see from a distance.

if this works 3 or more CMDRs can head to the matching triangle of systems, pick one and hopefully be able to scan from higher up and at low level orbital cruise.

I'm not there to test it, and dont plan to return until FDev throw us a bone or at least confirm the server kicks + crashes havent broken a significant part of how we find coords, so this might be complete idiocy :)

I thought that way too but Synuefe ZL-J d10-119 is the only other system that has a Y class brown dwarf with rings.
