Umm... on Xbox, how would one be able to show the location of the 'Known Synuefe X R ruins site system' so that 'it' would apear as a HUD icon in cockpit view , when in the furthest suggested Synuefe ZL system ?
I ask this as, I can plot a route via the Galaxy Map and then when I return to cockpit view I am obviously seeing the first system on a route, and not 'Known Synuefe X R ruins site system'.

ps, Iam probably just being very stupid, not able to get my head round this issue !

Don't plot a route, just set it as target, the button left to route plotting.

Just select the system from the Galaxy Map, don't plot a route.

So the first ruins have been fixed? seems you cant get the additional scans from open/private now.

Some observations:

d101, c22-17 and b2-4, form a triangle of almost exactly 70 LY from each other
119 is almost exactly 300LY from the center of the triangle
102 is almost exactly 200LY from the center of the triangle
119, 102 and b2-4 are in the same galactic plane.

Don't know if it means anything.

Other thoughts on the first ruins site before I forget them/so I'm not the only one thinking about them:

The 5 cog like protrusions on each of the circular platforms at the two circular features keep drawing my eye. There are 5 of them on each. They take up 1/3 of the circumference of the circle. On the larger feature, one of them is extended into the "central stalk" that stops at the ruins mid point (well, mid point of the enclosing hexagonal walls. I wonder what they might represent. Stellar classification? Number of planets? Angles for something?

A few pages earlier (during the night for me) someone posted an image "inverting" the ruins from the orientation all the other images use. That sure looked like a system below the viewing plane (the large circle, dangling from the central stalk, and the smaller circle, further away but in the plane of the viewer (the hexagonal wall then representing the plane of the viewr, and perhaps enabling the distance between those two points to be calculated using triangles/angles between them).

Just thoughts I didn't want to be lost from head whilst I'm at work.

How many ly away is IC 2391 Sector BQ-X b1-4 as the center of the triangle from the corners?

Answer: 42

If the triangulation from the map overlays directly with the galaxy map, this is very interesting. Perhaps might (but without proof) mean that D11 102 is the system to search for?

Eh? Thats the current known ancient site system.

- there might be another tower but I have been out there SRVing for repair materials before and never heard any signals like the known relic towers.

From the overlay I'm more interested in C22-17 but of course the tower placement might not relate to the earth features.

The other relic if it exists would be very far out though. Farther than the diameter of the ruins itself and the beacons only activate once you get closer than about 10 meters. So it's easy to just scavenge for materials and just miss the spot where the relic is.

Is there a mathematical formula which can take into account co-ordinates in similar location tking into account reduced planet surface area

Coordinates are always the same and don't change based on planet size. Latitude is always 90 degrees north and 90 degrees south and longitude is always 180 degrees east and 180 degrees west.
