Went back to the ruins this afternoon (19:50 GMT) and, on approach, got a POI centered roughly on the site. I've been all 'round the area and there's nothing there (that I can find) other than the ruins. Been here too many times to count and never had that before.

Can anyone else confirm the same behaviour?

I returned too this evening, I also noted a large POI but it was off centre & didn't cover the ruins area

how do you cash in the obelisk data, cant find anything in felice dock and also not at ram tah´s place.

You mean the Ruins mission or CG that ended? If its the former, then you have to go into "missions" and it will be first option. If it is for CG, then its too late

You confirm this behaviour yourself by logging out and logging back in.
Blue POI are usually RNG and will be gone on the next logon.

after far too many hours flying over planets upside down, listening for "ruin" noises, i decided to take a break and have a go a decoding the ruins again.....you know you need a proper break when you end up with something like this picture, the only thing to note, and im not sure its at all relevant, but the distance between the pillars on the perimeter of the site are at different intervals (the numbers in the pic are unimportant, the fact they are not regular is......interesting)

I would suggest they don't know what Cordyceps is and they've just used it as a word. The organic materials are very screwy including a Genus of fungi (Cordyceps e.g. 'Homo' in Homo sapiens), a family of fungi (polyporous e.g. mammals... kinda), a plant feature (seed pods, fungi don't use seeds) and phloem excretion when fungi don't have phloem in them.
It's nonsense.

The phloem bit is weird - but cordyceps? That's not a random fungus. It's the fungus which inspired ND to create the last of us, and is generally scary as hell (if you're an ant).

The idea of 'giant, mutated space cordyceps' is utterly terrifying :).

Just went back to the site to look for beacon number 5 but I had no POI so either you mean that purple circle which always spans the entire planet when are in supercruise in orbit or it was a bug or something I don't know, nothing persistent though and ruins still not show up as POI.

I noticed something else though. Did they fix that we can see ruins from further away when we set surface material quality to low? Because yesterday I was able to see the ruins clearly up until 7.5km when they switched to a lower res 2d texture but was still able to see them up until 20-30km height. Today I am not able to replicate that with identical graphic settings. They fade away after a few km.

Almost sounds like it could be an advanced biological weapon.... :)

Also, am I wrong in remembering in the data you turn in to ram it states that the comms stuff was on moons?
