Someone told her - really for which the only outstanding candidate is Delaney. He is the only character on the face of things, linked directly to her, with what one would assume is the necessary seniority to know. And what gives agency to this argument, and to the idea that he is a Walden clone of some sort, is a small snippet from a GalNet article.

“Cuthrick Delaney, ambassador to the Prism system, has had a long and varied career within the Empire, first coming to prominence during the events which ended the dictatorship of Dr. Walden on the Old World planet of Lave. His precise involvement in that event was unclear, and he seems to have lost none of his ability to stay close to those with power in the intervening time. He has been seen in conversation with Kahina on many occasions.”

That, as far as I can tell, is the only background we have to Delaney in GalNet. But it certainly suggests he knows secrets, and if anyone would know if Kahina was a Waldenkind, then it would be him, regardless of whether or not he was a clone himself.

I think we have the potential to take this one step further back.

We know Kahina is 'special' in some way from the many references in Reclamation and the question has been 'Why is the daughter of an Imperial Senator special?'.
I think the answer could be well be 'Cuthrick'.
He has the power, authority and influence to have arranged for Kahina to be 'embedded' into the Loren family and to have been in control of events ever since.

Literally a oo conspiracy?

What interest would be served placing all these clones?
How does saying "Ah ha! a clone!" have any meaning?

Walden's interest his purely his own immortality, so what is the Kahina model female Waldon's?
With all this hardware running around,, doesn't matter without the software which appears to reside on those forehead chips?

Octavia said there were some others, I'd guess she picked Kahina to hijack her name, wealth and position.
Octavia was a blonde, though so maybe matching isn't clone dependent?

Where do you think tinfoilwise a clone story could be going, replace everyone important in the bubble with Waldens?

gonna check Lave Revolution again for Cuthrick too as it's canon,,,

and back to planet scanning, as this is all going to play out now in less time than we've been thinking about it

36 ly with class 2 hyperdrive AND fuel scoop capable? I'd guess fuel scoop was not installed otherwise it's a straight shot back to Earth and retire rich and famous.

I'd have said Octavia had more wealth and position and Kahina did - I don't think she was planning on going legit.

Youth and beauty was where Kahina scored over Octavia, but plenty of people had that, so there has to be something else that Kahina had that Octavia wanted - and that, whether it be cloning, genetic enhancement or superpowers from being bitten by a radioactive spider, was the driver.

Yea, Drew mentioned we missed clues to figuring this out, and the brute force method was circumventing using the in game mechanics/clues...so take that for what it's worth.

I have searched EAFOTS IK-Z C0. Planet two is an Earth like world, i also searched all bodies within that system for a UCB.... nothing.

Not legit, as if that collection of mafias is legit, but the modern double game, raise money for the widows and orphans and use it to finance my secret brown shirt wing.
