I read the first three books, didn't realise there were any more!
So I guess I should move on to 'best served cold?'

Novel series by Joe Abercrombie that someone recommended to me at the start of this year. Now on volume 5, "The Heroes."
It's excellent. Like A Song of Ice and Fire but without the bloat and way snarkier and more British. Anyone else here read it?

With Abercrombie it's not so much the Angel of Death as the Angel of Karmic Unpleasantness. Take everyone's favourite one-legged torturer, Sand "Body found floating by the docks" dan Glokta for instance.
Yeah, Best Served Cold is excellent. It's set about 5 years after the first three. There are mentions of both Jezal dan Luthar and Sand dan Glokta although not by name, and various secondary characters become primary ones, including Nicomo Cosca, Practical Vitari, and Caul Shivers.
