Just logged off at 1am GMT after experiencing lag issues in warp, undocking and mission boards. It's really making the game unplayable right now. I got interdicted and would have had enough time to go make a coffee before the NPC who interdicted me finally appeared in the instance with me. It actually took less time to blow him up than it did to wait for him to appear. then the count down to return to cruise again, the warm up started and got to 100% and nothing but the blue haze around me for about a minute before it finally went into cruise and I could continue my journey to the station. I'm spending more time waiting for the server to respond now than I am actually playing the game.Definitely a bug in the server end.
Cerisse: I have the NBN in Dubbo and I played a wing with rrobes in Eastern USA. the only problem was we could target each other but we were invisible to each other.
Sound cut in and out to.
The problems you are all experiencing is definitely server related. Bet my right whatzit on it.
Since the issues are also happening to UK players, I don't think anything like that would help. It's FD who need to check their connections and their server may need a regular daily reboot.I don't know whether anyone has given this a try already...
Have you tried connecting via a VPN to see if that helps? I know it sounds daft, adding another route etc but it was a really good work-round for some connection issues a year or so ago. At that time I stuck a free VPN on (I used Tunnelbear) and the server issues disappeared. It might work if it is just the Aussie servers bustin' a plugger.

The connection issues I was referring to were occurring all over the place, I experienced them in the UK and just adding a VPN in the route removed all the issues - it didn't even need to simulate a different country of origin, it just "massaged" the packets in some way that stopped the server issues. It was probably a different issue to the one you are experiencing, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try I would have thought.
.................
Also, I use a VPN to play with Americans often, it doesn't change the crashing
With or without VPN, it makes no difference. I still experience major lag trying to do anything. It's now getting to the stage where the game is becoming unplayable and I'm spending more time making coffee while I wait for it to do something that I am actually playing the game.
