The moon at site 2 is directly overhead at the moment, so no chance tonight.
If anyone intersted in all this moon nonsense (or interested in disproving it!) has the time/opportunity I would really appreciate someone getting images of that moon rising and setting from the mid point of the ruins (the tip of the ridge down from cluster A), with HUD to show the heading from that point. More details HERE. Yeah, that link again, sorry [ugh]
And I totally missed moonrise at site 1 as well, so any further observations from there also welcome. I think site 1 is pretty safe when it comes to Lunar alignment, its two being so close to the boundaries that gives me most concern.
Either way, will try again over next few days.

If the moon (either, but most especially at site 2) is not being accommodating, and you have a wing-man with you, pics of them following the moons orbit line in Super-Cruise whilst you target them from the centre of the ruins would also be acceptable (at the points where they cross the horizon for rising and falling).
