The moon at site 2 is directly overhead at the moment, so no chance tonight.

If anyone intersted in all this moon nonsense (or interested in disproving it!) has the time/opportunity I would really appreciate someone getting images of that moon rising and setting from the mid point of the ruins (the tip of the ridge down from cluster A), with HUD to show the heading from that point. More details HERE. Yeah, that link again, sorry [ugh]

And I totally missed moonrise at site 1 as well, so any further observations from there also welcome. I think site 1 is pretty safe when it comes to Lunar alignment, its two being so close to the boundaries that gives me most concern.

Either way, will try again over next few days.

If the moon (either, but most especially at site 2) is not being accommodating, and you have a wing-man with you, pics of them following the moons orbit line in Super-Cruise whilst you target them from the centre of the ruins would also be acceptable (at the points where they cross the horizon for rising and falling).

Pretty confident at this stage that Language 2, 3, 4, and 5 are not possible. What is marked as the "Tablet" ring in sector A is really a mish-mash of several different artifacts. I'm reasonably certain it's this, but I'm filling in some blanks in my data so it might be off...I can say for certain none of them are tablet though...

So now the question is, are there tablet obelisks scattered elsewhere, or is this another glitch? Going to go ahead and file a bug report just to make them aware.

but only 4 obelisk gives data and is known
A4 orb + casket
A17 tablett + relikt
A18 tablett + tablett
A20 tablet +urn

and A17, A18, A20 are language 7, 6, 1

i think there could be more in group A or C there are only 2 scans

How is it that on AB 3 on Synuefe XO-P c22-17 you can get the other 4 ruin systems visible in the sky at the same time, e.g. at -62.9465,-66.8907? Looking at the galaxy map that shouldn't be possible should it? I can't visualise from the galaxy map any position on a sphere at Synuefe XO-P c22-17 where that would work.

I've gone through every one with a tablet with the exception of A6, and have gotten the error messages. I have also confirmed that urn/caskets don't give error messages in their respective sections that I outlined. 100% certain none of those are tablet, 80% certain that it's casket/urn as marked on my map. Feel free to test and let me know what you find.

As you, I'm doing this quest in solo mode only.
That's beeing said, here are the duplicates for site 3 using your map (I have to update all my sheets whith this one since It's likely the one that going to be the reference) :

- E3 and G1 with primary Casket and secondary Orb (Historical 5) [you already know this one]

- A19 and A20 with primary Tablet and nothing for secondary (Language 1). I know you got this with another combo (saw your post), but I'm strongly sure it's Tablet alone (I check my rewards after each scan, since it's the only way to avoid errors due to the lag. The messages you get are lagging, not the increasing reward).

- B11 and B12 with primary Orb and secondary Totem (Technology 6)

- B14 and B17 with primary Totem and secondary Relic (Cultural 1)

I don't know why but, I've the strange feeling that in open/PG site 3 "shows more than it should ..." :)

More seriously guys, if you want to figure out the combos (or at least define the primary keys) for all the obelisks on site 3, it's up to you. But I'm calling that an exploit bug ... No problem for me with that, but Be sure you are aware of this ;)

I've been unable to edit the search spreadsheet sheet, but if someone else can, I've nearly completed a full circle around Synuefe ZL-J d10-119 7D at a latitude of +32.5.

Ooh- I know this one. The axis of AB 3 is almost exactly perpendicular to the galactic plane. To help visualize on the galaxy map, bookmark HIP 37757 and HIP 48849, as they make decent enough pole stars. Easy enough to get three of the other sites on the horizon at once, the fourth at a slight elevation.

I was searching at the equator of AB 3 for a bit, under the assumption that the sites were largely in positions where the horizon could line up with the galactic plane. Then the third site was found, and it's 20 degrees off the latitude that would match my theory. So +/-30 degrees is the best guess until we find a site that deviates.

One serious problem I have been having is crashing at the sites, started about 3 days day's ago.
I would have farmed the sites more, but this crashing is painful,
I only crash shortly after i have scanned my 3rd or 4th Obelisk or i have dropped artefacts,
Sometimes i crash 3 times in 5 minutes, only happens at the ruins (in solo).
I did a hard reboot on xbox to clear cache, still happens. restarted the mission about 4 times now, tossed all artefacts got fresh one, still happens.

I get every type of crash.
"failed to connect to adjudicating server'
"failed to connect to servers"
"Experienced an unrecoverable error"

Anyone else getting this ? makes me want to totally abandon the ruins mission, but the farming is to sweet! lol

Has a list been set up and verified by multiple sources how many pieces of data there are from each of the ruins and what item combinations are required in solo? I'm focusing on Solo due to the oddities that have occurred with group and open play with scanning the obelisks. I'm currently sitting at 13 data from the Alpha Ruins (SYNUEFE XR-H D11-102 1 B) and 11 data from the Charlie/Gamma Ruins (IC 2391 Sector ZE-A D101 C 3).

It appears as though there are a few Obelisks at the Charlie/Gamma Ruins that do provide the "Partial" success response but don't react with any of the possible combinations, suggesting that there *may* be more items to consider for combinations. Just a thought.

Thank you very much, dude. I was wondering what was up with the other obelisks. Was there also one or two at site 1 that did that? I seem to remember there being one or two that didn't give any data. Just trying to keep up-to-date on things as I continue working on some other things in the game.

I'm playing chase the POI, this one is baffling me, it's the same small POI you get for things like the brain trees, I first logged to check it was persistent, and sure enough it was still there, so down I go, straight down that is, no deviation, landed, saw nothing through ship canopy, launched SVR, did a slow 360, nothing but the usual wave signals, got back in ship, straight up to 2.4km, POI still there, I've repeated this 3 times(including login), same result, nothing found.

It's in a crater at SYNUEFE ZL-J D10-119 7E coordinates -30.1254, -160.1563

Another oddity, when I approached this crater, it was very bright and clear inside, when I lowered altitude it suddenly went very dark and misty, I can barely see anything.


Lighting now back to normal after taking a hires photo, POI still persists, but the only thing I'm finding in the area is the remains of a rock I shot out for the mats.

While trying to take a space selfie next to the "B3" beacon in the 3rd ruins site I found this under the ground when the camera clipped through it.

The 3 objects circled in red are stationary while the one circled in blue orbits them all.
Any clue what they are?

Haven't relogged to see if its persistent yet
