Come on, it is 3302. Isn't hologram be a norm in the ship???
NPC crew is an actual person on board so they will die if the ship gets ka-boomed.
Instead, player crew is composed of telepresence and hotogram in the ship.
You can control the ship function and walk inside the ship (in the near future I hope)
Your connection with the ship is broken once the ship got destroyed.
Once elite-feet is out, you can't walk outside of the host ship because you are only a ship-generated hologram.
If you want to actually meet your friend "face to face"(ship to ship), you have to fly your way to your friend to wing up!
To FDev:
Please add a line "Telepresence and hologram established" in the information panel once the player is multi-crewed to stop these IMMERSION VS GAMEPLAY argument.
Perhaps modifying the player model in the SLF to make it more "disposal like" too?
