Hardware & Technical X52 PRO and Windows 10

i currently own an x55 Rhino, but the throttle buttons are starting to pack it in (known poor madcatz build quality of their internal wiring). had it 2 years, and its already toast. rather unfortunate. so i've purchased an X52 Pro. now i know that under windows 10, it has issues. some get blue screens, or it simple doesnt work. e.g. my brother ended up buying a USB2.0 card with xHCI controller on it, and has no problems.

but has anyone managed to sort out running their x52 Pro on windows 10 normally (i.e. through the mobos on board usb and the USB3.0 controller)?
ive seen people mention it running normally, and others say beta drivers worked. but no ones ever mentioned that they must use a USB2.0 controller card only.

also, primarily im only after the throttle, as the x55 stick still works perfectly. is mixing and matching the x52 pro throttle and x55 stick a bad thing (TM), or is it possible.

Win 10, 64 bit. Running the X52 Pro on an external 2.0 hub. The only thing I noticed is that the Throttle leds and screen don't come on when activate the pc (though it does work, and the stick leds do light up). When I unplug and replug it everything is fine again.

X52 pro + windows 10 works perfectly for me. In Win7 I had loads of problems to get he drivers working, but after upgrading to 10 it was pretty much plug and play. I first used the internal usb, but switched to a external powered usb hub after getting the rift.

Sorry it's not very helpful but it just works for me. Plugged into a USB port on the front of the computer. No finagling with drivers required.

not at all. im researching as much as i can. ive read people getting blue screens simply plugging in the hotas, or win10 not recognizing it.
also, i use my x55 with no drivers and no problems. so more interested if its just win10 giving the crappy saitek drivers the .

hence all the questions.

going to try it by just plugging in the hotas with no drivers and see how that works.

Mine is on usb 3.0. controller on mobo asus z97 deluxe. I have to leave the saitek control panel software open otherwise some buttons don't work (strange but true). But other than that it works good.
I just installed the software from saitek website. Good luck with getting it up and running

I have several peripherals on my gaming rig so running it without an external powered hub is not an option. I have a cheapo Amazon-own-brand 7-port USB 2.0 hub.

I had issues with the onboard USB system running out of juice. ;)

There is a pretty big Saitek/X52 thread on this forum and I pretty sure in there it recommends the use of USB 2 Ports. I have an ASROCK X99 WS MB and connect my X52 Pro to one of the rear USB 2 ports. I do not have any installed Saitek Software, I just use the Windows Drivers. According to Device Manager my driver versions are 6.2.2.0 :
