SDC Presents: Operation Healies4Feelies

Don't be daft... Add in another special effect that all CMDRs must have on their ships to counter balance the first imbalance!

Why not buff shield boosters so every commander can take any amount of fire, without dropping a ring of shields?

No one ever dies. Problem solved.

SDC at it's finest. Testing weapons on innocent CMDRs. Very impressive......or not........

TBH! The game is getting so "broken", in so many areas, at times I think more of us should be joining in, in a vein attempt to actually get FD to care!

I don't care about designing the size and shape of my ears. I don't care if I can point and click where to turrets fire when on someone else's ship. I'd prefer to have the core game working more solidly and more interestingly!

Excellent, another Jedi turned to the dark side :D

adjusting the heal rate and adding more station protection is a quite simple fix, it's when mechanics are yoused in a way not originally intended that problems arise, this has been going on since the birth of gaming and will live on long after.

I have no idea what this is all about :)

One question, have you checked with FD wether they are aware and/or working on this issue?

In other words, have you learned from the Spiceybois oopsie?

Yeah you're totally right, which is why this thread doesn't exist: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/314823-Regeneration-Sequence-nerf-needed

I know Im right...and now ye know I know ye know...ye know?

Would have been easier simply doing a necro on the original thread and asking fer an update...that would have been the smart thing to do, yes? Anyway...I stand by my earlier comment...a 2 month old thread changes nothing, and this thread is just the latest in a long and tragic list of intentional salt mining threads. The intention of this thread is no different because it has become predictable ^

You misunderstand the situation. It's not about stations being able to kill the ships. The stations are simply used here because they are the highest damage dealing weapon platforms in the game. If THEY can't kill a ship being healed by a single beam, nothing can. That was the point. that a wing of ships with one of these on each ship becomes a wing that is nearly impossible to kill.

LOL.

How long did it take to find and take advantage of this? Why did it take several months?

It's not about "why it did take several months" - it was already known the advantage you could take out of this, if you just winged up with a mate that had actually healbeams. He was actually your godmode-backup.

It was more of thinking of a way of HOW TO SHOW properly and absolutely idiot-proven to FD, WHY they are OP.
So, essentially folks that have been killing tons and tons of cleenex in order to prevent FD taking away those UBERhealbeams, by trying to convince FD on reddit, got cheesed with their very own weapons.

And that's where SDC deserves the medal.

It's not taken months to be an issue; credible PvPers have been concerned about this for a long time. It only took months to make a really funny video demonstrating how crazy the healing beams really are in a manner even noncombat players can understand. Plus, the yodeling; presumably that took a LOT of practice to get right:)

Lesse...

The power players tend to have a "schtick" that defines them...
They are highly intolerant and demand the slaughter of everyone who isn't aligned with them...
They give out poorly balanced and conceived perks to their followers, which range from the decent to nigh-useless...

They are. They're gods, and the commanders pledged to them are 2e specialty priests.

Well played, sir.
