When will we see PS4 gameplay?

I held off getting the PS4 a)until the console price dropped and b) until NMS or ED came out! I awaited NMS but I'm glad i didn't buy the PS4 or the game judging by its dismal failure! I have done a lot more research this time around for ED and it also benefits us PS owners because we can view the gameplay in PC and we now know what to 'expect' - warning Frontier!!!

But as the man says...'Elite Dangerous may have been around for only the last couple of years, but I have been waiting for Elite Dangerous for my whole life!' ever since the original 1984 game! Now it can truly be rendered for what it should be! A PC is beyond me right now but a PS4 is not. I am ONLY buying a PS4 for THIS GAME! I am happy with my PS3 and have been for some years but i will trade it in when this hits the shelves - just bring it with all the mods and support you can muster Frontier!!

From a certain point of view, we are getting the better deal. The PS4 version will most likely be released with patch 2.4 (which also marks the beginning of Season 3? who knows). This means that we'll be getting from day 1 a much more polished game than either the PC or XBOX people had at launch. Yes, we are coming late to the party, but the best music starts playing now :)

I have a feeling we will be coming into ED at very dangerous time in the universe.

What is the frame rate like compared to Xbox? Worse? Same? Better? Depends how good a job FDev have done really with PS4 and if they have optimised it well (or at all).

I noticed quite a few of the videos from Youtube show quite slow response to system map interaction and launching SRVs etc on Xbox compared to PC. I want to know if that comes over to the PS4. Is the performance on a PS4 stable or not? Is the PS4 Pro much better performance than the PS4.

Lots of unanswered questions.

Granted not everyone will be bothered by these details but I am. :)

Though these things are not console hardware related i think..

We indeed have to wait and see. But, we are talking about Frontier here, there is pretty much nothing they can't do.

I am going to assume it will be running in 1080p? 30FPS? That is probably all we can hope for on the vanilla PS4 I am guessing. I'd still like to see some native footage.

Argos were flogging off old xbox one stocks very recently for 150 quid, keep your eyes open for more about if you really really really can't wait ;)

I pretty much only play elite on xbox (1100 hours now!) while my ps4/vr sits drooling in the corner...

Honestly Elite looks okay on even a potato PC. It'll be fine on PS4. Based on the typical trend of things, it'll look a little nicer on PS4 than it will on Xbox.

Yes, I'm convinced it's coming. But, even if psvr is not quite ready for launch, I'll be caning the ps4 version when it's here, and might even snag a pro while I'm at it.

I am going to wait and see if the Pro is worth it upgrade wise, so far I am not that sure. I'd like to see a comparison especially with ED. :)

From what i hear, even the new PC VR kits have low resolution on high end gaming rigs. I'm really curious how this will play out.

But again, PSVR isn't announced, its pure speculation. It might as well never be a thing.. Just don't get your hopes up till Frontier them self will tell you PSVR is coming.
