Hardware & Technical ED "hogging" my LAN connection?

Something I've only just noticed...

My gaming PC is hooked up to a small home network via a wired connection.

Before I play ED the connection is perfect. I can stream HD video to and from any PC on the network including my gaming PC.

After a session of ED, however, I notice that when I try and stream video either to or from my gaming PC it stutters and is fragmented.

Tried disabling and re-enabling the network card with no effect.
Restarting the PC always fixes the problem.

Anybody got any suggestions as to what's going on or how to investigate it further?

I have exactly the same issue as you...I was blaming the kids for uploading stuff to YouTube but whenever I'd ask them they said they were not.
I'm using a Vodafone router if that helps...It's locked down so you can't do any QOS on it

I have issues with the client running and using just under 1Gb of memory after saving and exiting ED. Take a look in Task Manager to see if the 'EliteDangerous Executable' is still running as this would have an impact on network/streaming etc.

sounds like you PC struggles closing all those peer2peer connections ED makes when you fly around in open.

Gotta say how correct you are Anni.... Keep waiting for that big haul to get a shiny new ship as the old C=64 with 1541 drive is showing signs of age running a PC Emulator!
