What was your original commander name?

Mine was always my name until Star Wars then I have only ever used Han Solo for every space game I have played . As far as I know their are only one or two other people ever to log in to any space game before me that have tried to use it . My friends even call Me ( Han ) or Han Solo .

My commander name in FE2 was "Patrick". And every time I recorded a current party (just after a fight, a planetary landing, a bounty) I added +1. I had to stop playing FE2 at 68000. (Just kidding)

nice idea for a thread will be checking for old mates who i have lost contact with here, VNB was my Nik short for )/ideo/\/asty/3as'|'*** or if playing in multiplayer mode - (one on keyboard one on stick) it was NE1
miss those sleepless nights with mates playing this.

Can't type my old name in as the Filter would go nut's .. I always liked seeing swear words on my computer (childish I Know, even though I was 12!) But I can tell you it had 4 letters and began with a "C" and ended in "-Bucket":eek:

Funnily enough all the missing letters appear in my new name (It's a coincidence ...Honestly !)

On the Commodore 64 you could not overwrite a file which meant you had to keep changing the name. Thus my commander was simply a number which started at 1000.

I got to "Dangerous" rating so I was probaby at 1500 or something would be my guess. I would save every few stations.

I added the number obviously so I was actually like Ryker989 or something.

Commander Lazerjaw.

I was playing the Star Frontiers RPG at the time with my friends and he was my insectoid half-cyborg character. It was only natural that he became the hero of my Elite voyages.

Hey it sounded cool to a 13/14 year old! :D

(I only just resisted taking it as my reserved name for ED ;))

Mine was the,,, Hrmm not so good name, S.h.i.thead whitout the dots :)

Later in other games I was named to Greygal. I was not hat good at English and found out that "gal" means girl, even if I played a male char.
So ive been using either Vulcor for a male or Vulcoria for a female chars.

But I did not forget my roots so often thos chars form a name like Vulcor/Vulcoria af Greygal. :)

Snagglepuss is also an name ive been using in some game :D ( Lotro)

If I remember correctly, I used my first name and I added a number (incremental) at the end, every time I recorded a phase of the game. I had always some incremental backups in reserve

Yup like others mine was the same as I'm using now, CMDR Yan.

Mind you I've not used it in between at all for anything. Just Elite, then Frontier, then FFE, then this. It's been a purely Elite universe only name.

Jameson :). Though when I did change it in later games, I probably used some variation on "x-beard" from my Pirates! days, such as bluebeard, twobeard, treebeard, beardbeard and so on.

Who WAS Jameson, anyway?

Chris, CJ, Jameson or variants thereof for different save files on the BBC.

Ceeege (or Ceege) only came along once avatars were commonly introduced - it's an amalgamation of my initials C & J which my mum used to shout at me to get me to do something when I was younger.

My main character in Everquest was a female Bard who I called Sonica. Once I'd levelled enough for a surname I just had to make her Sonica Lewinsky!
