or use xbox smartglass :-D

Which for some sinister reason doesn't work on my tablet at all, old version did but after an update it doesn't even start.

I have the chatpad and it works brilliantly, you can also change the volume of your headset with it, very convenient.

Heads up for Samsung Tablet running Android Marshmallow... turn OFF the Power Saving mode if you want to use the Xbox One SmartGlass app. The app won't start properly if Power Saving is turned ON.

The headphone jack on mine was poor. I swapped it and within three months the new one went the same way.
I now have to choose between text chat and voice chat and choose my controller accordingly - they don't stand up to much connecting and disconnecting either so I leave mine permanently attached to one controller.
Having text at your fingertips is brilliant and if Microsoft put a bit more into the build quality I'd fully recommend one.

Same issue with the supplied headphones, the angle the jack protrudes from the chatpad seems to cause the cable to fray quickly

I give the chatpad 2 thumbs up. Got it for Christmas last year and it is the best thing ever. Makes typing in all those weird system names a piece of cake. It's also nice when you want to message other people, or search for things on netflix or youtube. 10/10
