CV1 earbuds worth it?

I am quite happy with the stock headphones on the CV1 but noticing the ear buds I'm curious is people think its worth the buy over the stock solution.

I bought them but find the ones on the headset are fine. I havent even used the buds. I bought them because I didnt realise the headset had headphones. Because Im a jackass.

For me it was worth it for two reasons:

1. much better bass and dynamic range than stock
2. increased background noise isolation

These kinda marketing ploys tick me off.

If I forked out several hundred quid on yer kit, why didn't you give me what you considered your better earphone solution from the start?

Hygiene would be my guess, the stock headphones you can let other people use them, sharing earbuds is a bit grim

^This. I much prefer the buds for sound and isolation. The only downsides are the hygiene thing (but my wife feels sick just looking at the HMD so no problem there), and also when you need to slightly lift the rift to change your Spotify tune or something they get pulled out.

I took off the rift earphones.

Instead i use a turtle beach headset.

I find this to be a better solution to earbuds or cheap headphones. I suggest you at least TRY using a different set of headphones cause the ones that come with the rift suck

Apparently since the mic is illegible, I have been using my regular headset as well, but it does open the cups a little and I loose a bit bass, still a bit better than the regular phones.
Recently upgraded to a pair of logitech g533.
But it sure was less complicated to use the rift with an attached solution rather than fumbling around for your headphones after putting the rift on.

Thanks for the input. I'll most likely be grabbing them. Currently have a Razer Kraken and combined with the CV1 it's just too much crap on my head. That and I plan on selling the Krakens to pay for the earbuds and possibly a mic +pop thing for directly in front of me.
