Great stuff. If I can make a quick suggestion - it might be helpful to have the rough point at which hyperspace became available in the article? It potentially makes the 'long voyage' to Tau Ceti one of either long, or very long! I had to go back to your also-excellent hyperspace article to check

These are great, thoroughly enjoy reading up on the lore of Elite, thankyou!

Reading them gets me thinking of how cool it would be to have all this in book form, like a sort of atlas/encyclopedia style "History of the Galaxy" thing. Big ol hardcover collectors item would look great on my bookshelf, plus it would be an awesome read and good source of reference material. I know most of the info can generally be found online if needed but I personally would love to one day see it all combined into physical form.

Either one of the upcoming RPGs may provide this in part, though they'll presumably be oriented to game playing rather than history for the sake of history. Writing up a comprehensive and in depth history of the Elite Dangerous universe in a 'coffee table' type book would be quite a job. I don't think FDev themselves have time for it at present.

That said, I'd buy one myself if it came available! My articles are merely high level primers in comparison.
