No real person has been or will ever be murdered in the game of Elite Dangerous.

However, Elite Dangerous is using and normalizing a word that has actually been used to justify the murders of actual people.

ED also allows you not to equip weapons on your ship.
Despite it's rating, it's a rather "adult" game, that doesn't really glorify violence.

Can you provide a list of Forbidden Words for us please, in that case?

Maybe also provide a list of books to burn as well.

What's your point?
It has mature themes. It's not always going to be rainbows and lollypops. Somethings are supposed to be confronting.

No, it's what leads to the mass genocide of real people. Normalizing terms like "vermin", even in a video game, leads to atrocities.

This is just stupid please stop! And allow me to repeat myself, as a question!

You are dehumanising em, or they are really acting as an inhumane vermin?
HM? :) You see, there is a big difference!
And futhermore to call something in his name, does not means concentration camps and other idiocy. as you think. So please grab your jumping to conclusion and take elsewhere.

And just to make me perfectly clear i do not going to waste a second to my life to something this idiotic and neither the morons who this idiotic. They just do not deserve one second of attention.

Elite Dangerous contains drug use. Is it thus normalizing drug use?
Elite Dangerous contains descriptions of slavery. Is it thus normalizing slavery? (We had a slavery thread already)
Elite Dangerous contains descriptions of alien incursion. Is it thus normalizing alien incursions?
Elite Dangerous contains extrasolar space travel. Is it thus normalizing extrasolar space travel?

The answer is:

I'd actually like quite like it if this was added as a mission type?

"Dehumanise Pirate King Fred, at Lucas Station"
"Dehumanise 25 of Fred's Faction ships"
"Collect Black Boxes and dehumanise any who stand in your way"

OP. Seriously, my school teachers used to call us vermin, all depends on all the spirit behind it. Sympathies if you feel oppressed but language OFTEN uses rhetoric and (ninja'd) in a game where you can smuggle narcotics and weapons for a hobby, I would think that should be both pretty clear, and the last thing to worry about.

In my village we call bad people "bubble gum chewers" and band all bubble gum, now only the bad people have bubble gum.

This thread has broke my immersion for the day.

We don't allow sexual, racial, religious terms to define NPC opponents in-game, and that's correct. But the game allows the use of a term that's been used for centuries to dehumanize peopla in order to make it justifiable or easier to kill them (vermin).

That's a problem.
