Aye I wasn't surprised ...I suspect it will release after 2.3 beta is finished and live. Plenty more videos to watch yet I suppose :)

Would make sense unfortunately.
If I was to guess:

- the PS4 build will include the 2.3 functionality
- they would have wanted to announce the release date for PS4 at PAX East, hence why the PS4 build was used. The PS4 Dev team will have been targeted to get a working build in place for PAX East, but...
- the 2.3 beta is behind schedule so has put the dates in jeopardy.
- the practical way forward would be to hold off communicating PS4 launch date until the 2.3 launch date is known.
- FD may take it one stage further and place clear water between 2.3 and PS4 launch date (say about a month) to allow them to both fix last minute bugs and also get a double bump of publicity

I think the way they kept stressing 'this year' indicates it's a few months away yet :(

We'd be playing it now if Sony hadn't been so about paid for beta's similar to xbox gpp :/

Q2 was the promise...now its 'this year'? Let us wait and see - what we saw was that the training sessions work but there was a bug - so it still needs some work. Q2 runs for a few weeks yet, I am thinking around 4 weeks but I think that it will depend on the 2.3 being realised in full. If I was Frontier, I would wait until 2.3 was solid, then launch... so I guess we keep tracks on the beta.
