Question: Exploration in 2.2 vs 2.3

So right now I'm on a journey around the galaxy and I'd really like to go back and finally reach Elite rank, but I heard there'll be some changes in 2.3, so I'd like to know if I should go back now and sell the data before the patch, or after.
Where will I get more money and rank % ? 2.2 or 2.3. THX

Any discoveries you have now will be counted as 2.2 discoveries. They will not be affected by the 2.3 patch.

2.3 discoveries will be worth more, though.

Depends what changes actually make it into the final version. Some people have reported being paid 100,000s for ELW and other rare stuff, whereas stars and common objects still seem to pay peanuts.

In a way I like the idea that an Earth-like or Terraformable water world should pay a lot more than a black hole or neutron because not only are they are more 'useful' objects, unlike star classes you actually have to go to the system to discover them.

As others said, data that has been scanned after the 2.3 release will be worth considerably more. Aside from that, the only changes I'm aware of are the new scanner mods. The lightweight scanner, in particular, can add a considerable amount of range if you're in an Anaconda. (I've gotten mine up to 69.65 ly so far! No jumpo. That's up from about 63ly.)

Now you became elite with 160mil in exploration data.After patch i guess its gonna be 300 or even more because they gonna increase drasticly expl. payment.So mathematically speaking you will need the same time to get to elite exp. rank.Now, if you after rank better do fast passengers missions,its gonna be nefred soon,if you are after money wait till patch.
