Today, I did the unthinkable.

Went to the current Military Militia CG.

Skulked the system for a bit... A player in a Viper Mk IV appeared on the contacts.

"People fly these as multi-role ships. He might have cargo." I said to myself.

Swooped behind him. "Prepare for robbery." I sent him. Then I pulled the trigger on interdiction.

He fought back at the attack. But I out-flew him. Soon enough, we were spiralling through normal space.

"STOP FOR SCAN" I told him. But before I could send the transmission, he opened fire. I deployed hardpoints, he rammed me. To his rude surprise, my armoured tank of a Cobra fared better from his ram.

He started firing missiles. I engaged silent running. I brought his Hull down to 10%...

At this point, he tried to run. But, after opening fire on me, I decided I wasn't going to let him get away with it.

I switched to my cannon, boosted behind him... “target destroyed". I committed murder... And, it feels good.

I'm not even joking. I beat him in fair PvP, a Cobra vs a Viper... He brought it on himself. Had he stopped for scan...

This is a dark path I'm walking... And it's the best decision I ever made.

Very. In fairness, I successfully extracted cargo from a Hauler, and a Type-6 managed to wake away from me.

I'm really not after blood, but this was a rare occasion where the target decided to try to take my life.

Close enough i guess, but the Viper is, and always will be, a combat ship.

With the Viper It's internals? And jump range? That bird is a weird one. Looks like a fighter, but performs like a multi-role.

Some people call the Cobra Mk IV a mini Python. I say that title actually goes to the Viper.

What makes me more angry than CMDRs not following my requests is CMDRs not looking at the comms panel because they can't handle that tiny bit of adrenaline in a video game and simply panic-spin-boost like a dog flying a T9 and not knowing what he is doing.
I mean I certainly punish stupidity instead of someone who decided to refuse my requests/orders.

But oh well, thankfully lasers don't drain ammo. :)
