Next system star type.

Picture the scene, you're flying along and you don't necessarily want to scoop fuel at every single star you come past. You might be carrying some tasty cargo and are being followed, so you try and jump a few systems before scooping. But then you don't know if the next system is going to have a scoopable star.

If you've got a route planned, it'd be nice if it popped up somewhere on the screen the next star type, even if it's just the star type letter behind the system name. It'd make it easier for people to decide if they need to fill up now before they jump to a system that they can't scoop from.

It does!
Top right notice area as you initiate each jump. If you don't like the star, cancel the jump.

I know it does that once I start spooling up the FSD, but by then I'm usually round the other side of the star. It's not even like I can quickly start spooling the FSD to check before scooping as the next star is usually obscured behind the star.

Just need something in the bottom left hand corner of the screen behind next system to tell us.

Or set your route for only scoopable stars in the Gal-map filters

This was something I did when I got back into the game in January this year, great tip. But if I'm exploring and wanted to know what the next star type was...

As others said the next star type is displayed in the riright top info screen as soon as you activate jump.
This works very well.

Personally I go into the starmap most of the time as soon as I encounter an unscoopable star.
I then have a quick look at what type the stars in my route belong too to avoid getting stuck in a field of unscoopables.
What works fine too is plotting a route and then making sure that at least one of the last two stars in a jump sequence is scoopable
