So how many of you in this group? I mean I know only 1 against a t-6 may not be enough, hopefully you had at least 3 that would be fair.

Sarcasm aside, if your mission is not kill then maybe just use 1 of your gang members to pirate a non combat ship? much less chance of an accidental slaughter. 3 ships fire warning shots at an unarmed t-6 and oops sorry accident but your dead.

Gang mentality IMO

Are you crazy? That would be suicide! :p

That's a fair assessment, however it was fun in a wing. We could however consider taking more appropriate gear for the job next time.

Everybody has to start somewhere :)

He probably had 0% integrity :p ... that sort of increases the damage, and I bet it'll be lightweight with no armour... you might want to hold fire on an Asp in the future if you aren't the murdering kind :p

Believe me, despite what happened, we are really far away from being the murdering kind of players. We had lot of fun with those cmdrs that played along and personally i'm looking forward to doing it again, with less "destructive" weapons load out. Killing people has never been part of the plan, but if they just run away, damn, i'm roll playing a pirate, no way i'm going to let them get away with it, especially after me and my wingmates told him several times to just release cargo and no harm would be done.

T-9, T-6, T-6, T6... thanks for complying and dropping cargo. That was fun!

T-6 - We killed you because you didn't power down. It was kind of an accident, but still...

FDL - We killed you because... well, I got there just in time to watch you blow up. I think my wingmate got trigger happy. Still...

Asp - That was totally an accident. I was trying to put shots across your bow, with corrosives, my wingmate was trying to slow you down with drags.... and you kinda blew up unexpectedly. Still...

Orca - You defied us. That was great. When security showed up, we decided to go. We both got adjudication servers drops, so we didn't combat log on you.

That was all incredibly fun :D

To all of the awesome CMDRs that evaded us - great job!

Looking forward to the next CG!

*edit*

To the guy who came back in a sidey and fought my wingmate in a FAS - great fight!!!!

Haha! So that's what that cryptic little message was all about on comms last night! I was intrigued, but up to my earballs farming Federal Couriers for PP in Bunda so I couldn't cut loose to join you; sounds like I missed out on a lot of fun:)

Well, a little birdie once told me you enjoy hunting pirates, so it was kind of an all-round invitation for whatever you were in the mood for ;)

I think Jason has been swayed to the dark side. I remember seeing his threads on the old CG format when all the CGs were in one thread. He was all the dark knight back then, protector of the unarmed trader. His posts of late have been much more favorable toward those that prey then the ones who are preyed upon. There is much force in that one, only he can decide his path.

I am mostly light. Partly light. Mostly partly:)

Think you guys interdicted me the other night and I barely managed to escape after a volley of yuri grom missiles. I would've complied but stopping for CODE made me feel uncomfortable so I opted to escape. Regardless, cheers for being real pirates not murderous villains like the evil mustache-wearing commander who tried to gank me in a conflict zone today.

I don't recall an Adder, but it's possible. There was one cat, maybe a Python who had such a short FSD charge that he kept making a fool of us. We'd drop into the instance and he'd be gone before we knew what was happening.

*edit* And T-7s are ridiculously hard to interdict, BTW? Why is that?

QUOTE]

I don't know I haven't flown my T7 since 2.1 dropped in, it is sitting gathering dust perhaps I should break it out and engineer it for fun to see what I can do with it although I don't think it will be as good as my zoomy Adder :)

Are we talking about Prism?

My T9 was interdicted there last night.
Not much came of it though.
I dumped enough chaff to make space look like a Disco Revival festival and then legged-it.

If they were your typical "trading build" (=lightweight unmodded armour, D-rated from the cellar to the roof, shields measured in hundreds of kilojoules,...) they are really a two-shot kills for decently modified gun.

I do not condone piracy, but I wouldn't blame them for "accidental kills". It's an ill-prepared ship that kills you more often than your opponent.
I once accidentally rammed a T9 in a Courier and they just blew up. I mean, come on, people. Are you building your ships out of paper? :D

But if they hear this from anyone involved in the act, the forum blows up with "I WANT TO PLAY MY WAY, STOP TELLING ME TO GIT GUD, YOU...GIT GUDDER..!"

The explorer I am planning on taking out has over 1k MJ shields, resistances, SLFs and HRPs among others. If you don't want to die, why gear your ship to do so?

I certainly know that the last thing I would take into a pirate infested system with cargo IRL is a stripped down profit bucket that can't move. Where's that immersion now? :3

What do you think, is this T6 build sufficient to escape an onslaught of a wing of human pirates? I am currently flying such setup:

Thanks for answers from professional pirates :)

Nice base build :) Make sure you get the "essential" mods in - that'd be stuff like a resistance augmented booster, low grade drive tuning (clean drives are 1 iron for substantial benefit)...would probably not bother with the MRP myself over a HRP, but it's your build and will certainly take more of a whacking than most either way. Plus there's the chance I'm just outright wrong and the MRP saves your hide ;)

EDIT: And if you have small power issues, little trick - turn off anything you don't need like cargo hatch, then roll low emissions PP until you get a semi-decent secondary effect for power output. You'll end up with a PP that has slightly higher power output but also a very much reasonable improvement to heat handling.
