Oh wow, Switzerland really gave Argentina a run for their money! :D
Too bad the equalizer didn't happen, hit the goalpost instead...

Yeah, the Swiss deserved an equaliser, they played well.
They play England in their first Euro 2016 qualifier... oh dear!

wow! great comeback by USA...i wanted Belgium through but changed mind now, USA at least deserve penalties...damn but the Americans are even better then England at our own game :(

Ah good game, well done Belgium but all credit to USA for making such an exciting game.

My family is German, though I am Scottish... so I'm kinda torn on who to go for. Auld Alliance and all that ;)

I hope tonight is when we see the "Real Brasil" - or if not, the end of them. Colombia look mightily impressive so far.

Germany-France is a real classic. The Germans can fall back on two consecutive wins during the 80's, whilst France should remember 1958 and the bronze win with the great Just Fontaine. 'Justo' still holds the record of most goals scored during a World Cup (13).

I'm not convinced but I'd bet on the Germans with a similar scenario as the 1986 game. Germany scoring an early goal and keeping the game tight and not allowing the French attack to penetrate far. Scoring a decisive 2-0 in the last 10.*

* I'm usually correct if I haven't bet, which I haven't, but telling it out in public should counter that fact. :D

Pah, world cup my elbow! There was a proper game on last night....Aberdeen v Daugava Riga in the Uefa Cup. A solid 5-0 win for the mighty Aberdeen who showed the world how football should be played......;)

Anyway back on topic, some great games to come over the next few days Really looking forward to France v Germany should be a great game.

France - Germany is going to be a tough one. Relatively speaking, the German defence isn't all too good, but they still have Neuer, which is the best goalkeeper in the world in my opinion. Their match against Algeria wasn't too convincing either. The French on the other hand have been formidable thus far and I'm sure they'll be very confident after that 2-0 against Nigeria.

Brazil-Colombia is going to be much more interesting as I think Colombia is more than capable of beating them. Brazil hasn't really shown their potential and Chille allmost kicked them out of the cup, but with Neymar back up it should become an interesting match indeed.

Anyways I'm ready for the big game tomorrow :)
