At this point I'll be happy if they give us deferent things to do rather than more tools to do the same things.
I don't know, maybe wars that feel like wars instead of endless spawning pools.
Maybe the ability to assault stations and conquer or destroy them.
Maybe some credit sinks, like building your own stations and bases, and put some personalization on top of it that doesn't necessarily require real cash.
Maybe a system that changes the way travel works, something that requires a little more skill and input from the player and less monotonous doing the whole same thing for hours.
Maybe challenge super hard missions designed to be done in party, like "raid bosses".
Maybe real economy in which the trucker doesn't become a traveling merchant but a contractor that don't own the goods. You take a transport mission, you get a wage for the job, you don't own the goods, that is how you make piracy profitable in comparison, (you steal it, you own it, you sell it in the black market) and of course the value of the goods would have to be dramatically increased. It also makes no sense that prices vary so much for trading to be profitable in a bubble that can be crossed in 20 minutes, so the current trading system has to go.
We've had nothing going in this direction since the game was released, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
