The bugs are so bad in this game I'm about ready to quit

Over 4300 hours ingame...but I'm about to call it quits. As far as I can see not one aspect of this game is not bugged in some way. Every new release re-introduces the same bugs that were previously fixed. There is almost not a single thing that is not bugged in some way. I love this game, but FD you really need to get these bugs under control. You need to to make sure that once you eliminate a bug, it's gone for good. Because what I'm seeing is the same old bugs coming to life again over and over in every single release, and I am getting tired of it.

What bugs do you speak of?

I only know a couple of recurring bugs. One is stuck passengers, and the other is insta-fail missions.
I've only experienced the insta-fail bug once.

Have you reported these bugs you find?

If you've only experienced "once" then your lucky! I wouldn't say it too loud though :x

With each new update, a new problem is introduced and the problems that already exist remain. This is ED.

OP, so that we can better answer you, what was your purpose of posting this thread?

To express your frustration?
To state some known facts in a hyperbolic way?
To indirectly ask Frontier to prioritise fixing certain low-impact bugs?
Give advice to Frontier about how to manage their product?
To say farewell to the game and the Forum?
No particular purpose?

Not that there aren't bugs, but 4300+ hours man... you HAVE to be near terminal burnout irrespective of bug count.

4300 hours.

Let's say you average 10 hours per day over a weekend, plus 2 hours every night of the week, that's 30 hours playing ED per week.

Assuming the above, you would have to have played regularly for roughly 143 weeks, or over 2 years 8 months.

With that level of exposure, you must have a top-three bugs that really grind your gears.

So, go on, do tell?

Oh, wow! Ummm...I'm not sure that's healthy.

Of course you're seeing bugs - when you spend that much time with anything you're going to see flaws.

So, I got good news and bad news:

* Bad news is that no software (especially one as big and complex as ED) will ever be 100% bug free.
* Good news is that no sane person would spend that much time playing a game if the bugs were really serious.

You got 4000 + hours in this game?

Closing in on 5000, if I count Betas and pre-release, and yes, the game is riddled with bugs, some of which have been present for years, or were reintroduced after being fixed.

They are certainly annoying and I have my complaints about Frontier's priorities, but nothing so serious as to make me consider quitting the game, or even to think they are the largest problem (though some are up there).

Oh, you should play the 2.3 beta ;)

I've been playing the 2.2 Beta for months. 2.3 is only marginally worse.

Nah.

Oh, wow! Ummm...I'm not sure that's healthy.

Probably healthier than a 9-to-5.
